I really love this radar detector. I can not drive anywhere without a radar! The Iradar app is extremely awesome.

The suction cups leave something to be desired. I've noticed that overall range is not that great - didn't really stand up in much of the side by side detector reviews - but for the price, not too bad...

I’m a little annoyed that the radar detector will go off even when it’s not picking up a police radar gun but will pick up like an automatic door at a liquor store or grocery store.

Posted .Thanks for the 5 star review. The filtering in the detector will help reduce these false alerts. You can also try changing your sensitivity level.

Probably the best detector on the market for the money spent, but doesnt have the full range of capabilities one would want for true protection. If your looking to help know where the radar guns live, its better than nothing. If you want to truly rule out tickets, spend the money on the detection not court cases.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. Upon receiving an alert, the RAD 480i will indicate the type of threat detected, showing X, K, KA, or Laser. Set it on the “Less Info” setting and it’s a lot less confusing on what type of radar it is picking up. If your skeptical about paying a truck payment for higher end detectors… the Cobra 480i is the radar detector for you!!

Sometimes you don't realize you are driving over the speed limit especially if its a beautiful day and you're enjoying some great music or listening to a good audio book. I've purchased radar detectors before however, this by far has been one of my better purchases.

I took a trip to California and it warned me each time there was a hidden cop. It was dark so I was glad I had this.

So with some research I found a Best Buy carried this product at a great price and actually have them in stock! The product registers with plenty of warning or time to make adjustments with your driving to help avoid that costly ticket. One pointer though on mounting either mount the device high or low just not dead center in the windshield seem to get better responses in the high or low position rather than dead center !
