Posted a premature 5 star review on compu junk item already but bbuy won’t let me update review on that 2 way drone remote system…. POOR QUALITY HARDWARE BUYER BEWARE! The Installation on this item was impeccably done by the Bestbuy team at my location… Unfortunately the CompuStar brand hardware build quality is poor at best. Software is awesome and all of the options are amazing… But when the hardware fails… It’s completely useless and leaves your vehicle vulnerable. I paid a lot of money for the system and I’ve always used viper systems in all of my vehicles. The viper systems and hardware ARE FAR superior to the CompuStar brand. I am now facing having to have the system uninstalled, I am outside of my 60 day total tech plus return window by a few days. Not that that matters as the Best Buy stores don’t have anything in stock and you have to order it from them and wait for it anyhow. Total tech plus is only as good as the store that provides it! I have had the Viper 2 way remote in my work vehicle for over three years and it’s NEVER FAILED & the hardware still works like it did the first day it was installed. In comparison the CompuStar hardware, namely the 2 way Drone Key fob Has a horrible build quality, the plastic screen is cracked already, the battery does not last long, the horn for the alarm system sounds muffled already, I am very dissatisfied and “upset” that I now have to have it uninstalled, order more items that will not be available at my Best Buy store, spend additional monies & time & not to mention damage to my wiring system on my vehicle by uninstalling this and installing another system just to get what I paid for in the first place. Will never Reccomend CrapuStar products to ANYONE. This system was installed on my personal vehicle which does not get used as much as my work vehicle just to give a comparison of how much less the system has been used over the past couple of months in comparison to a similar 2 way system in my work truck that gets used and abused DAILY. The viper system that has lasted over three years and never failed but unfortunately doesn’t have all the great software this system offers. Don’t waste your time with this junk. Buy a viper system

This has worked out great so far. The Geek Squad tech (Russ @ Hoover, AL) set the sensitivity perfectly. Very pleased with this addition to my compustar remote start. The security chirps can get annoying sometimes, but those are customizable.

Bought this April 4 this year. After barely three months, alarm wouldn’t work. Was told by tech that the siren stopped working. Since I didn’t buy extended warranty, Bestbuy told me to get warranty from Compustar. Called and emailed Compustar, have been given a runaround for almost a month now! So disappointed with this purchase!

Purchased this alarm and two way remote start appx six months ago. Best buy's geek installer did an excellent job as both units work as expected and is problem free. Was looking at Viper alarms due to buying and having them professionally installed 15 years ago on a couple new vehicles at BestBuy, but those alarms would always slowly drain the vehicles batteries till dead if left sitting for a week. Was looking for another alarm for an old classic truck and noticed BestBuy had a terrific Black Fri sale on the remote start and a Deal Of The Day sale on the Alarm. I asked around about Compustar and heard they're good, so I was happy to get a good system with free install from BestBuy. Am very satisfied with the Compustar brand alarm and can say this alarm is a good one.

This is the add on alarm kit for Compustar's remote starters. This kit provides the alarm speaker and the shock sensor which turns your remote starter into a true alarm. I had this installed with the DC3 remote starter and am very happy with the way they both work. The alarm offers a lot of customizable settings and is a must have if you want to deter criminals from breaking into your vehicle. Of course it won't prevent them from getting into your car but at least with a siren going off they'd be more inclined to move on rather then ransack your car with the alarm going off. One of the biggest reasons I purchased this from BestBuy is because you get a lifetime warranty on the alarm and the intstall and can get it serviced at any BestBuy location if you end up having issues. BestBuy did a flawless job with the install and I couldn't have been happier. Highly Recommend.

This product was purchased out of necessity due to someone attempting to steal my car. I own a Kia Soul. The self starter and alarm system are a Godsend to me and my family because without my car, I am unable to work. I am thankful for Best Buy and the team who installed the equipment, I highly recommend them for all of my electronic related needs and customer service!

My model truck wouldnt work with the viper alarm i am use to so i heard good things about compustar remote start and security good for the price app can be a bit glitchy at times but seem they do work on it to fix problems

Good alarm system to add on to the remote start is load an works good just not the one for my car

After a few break-ins around the neighborhood, I figured it was time to get an alarm for my vehicle. I had Best Buy install it. Works great so far, and at least if something happens, I'll know about it right away. I wasn't to keen on the Viper so I went with the Compustar. I didn't get the service though, that costs more money, for GPS.

Added this to my Compustar 2-way remote start that I recently had installed into my vehicle. Seamless intergration into 1 remote which made it very convenient and is also very easy to use. Basic functions with a loud speaker but gets the job done very well. I've used DEI alarms and 2-way remote starts in the past and I can tell the difference in quality with Compustar. Definitely a much better choice and a recommended product.

Installed this on my old 2003 4runner. I love my SUV, still run strong after all this years and it's all paid off. Drone mobile gives me remote start and other telematics that you find in most modern cars. I love how I can precondition my car while inside the house especially with the hot summer temp.

I like the peace of mind knowing that this kit adds a shock sensor in case somebody smashes a window or hits the car, that it will sound the alarm and notify me via phone app. The siren could use some upgrading though. It’s a little quieter than I’d prefer.

This is a must have whether you do viper or compustar they both have a comparable alarm. The siren is loud and works well and the quality of everything seems really nice. I prefer this over Viper. Also, the information on the website is outdated. I just bought this kit and there is a MKII sensor, meaning that it detects glass breakage. It’s essentially the same as the viper except you don’t need to buy the extra $40 module, it’s all included.
