This is in great condition! Arrived faster than i expected which was excellent. The special features were very informative and the HD master looks gorgeous. Would recommend!

Love movies like this really good movie nice to add to my collection

Contact is by far one of my favorite movies. I bought this so that i could watch it in Blu ray, and it was great. The quality difference from standard is fantastic. Highly recommend.

Great movie, though a little disappointed at the end. Still, classic sci-fi with a hint of reality blended in.

I don't know if it's age or what, but this movie makes me cry a bit. It's a touching story filled with generally great acting, sympathetic characters, touching drama and... well... everything that can help make a movie great. It's sci-fi only in that it touches on aliens and life out there in the cosmos, but it's really a drama. And it's a drama where cheering for the hero comes so readily. It suddenly occurs to me why I think so highly of this movie. It may be due to its similarity to another fave drama-intense, sci-fi movie: Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Yes... there are a lot of similarities between the two movies now that I think about. My only criticism, and criticism is too strong a word, is a bit of the back story (family history) of our main character played by Jodie Foster. It just feels a bit trite, but it doesn't diminish the movie in any meaningful way. Maybe it was just one too many emotional buttons pushed and it's the one I could live without.

One of the best sci-fi movies I’ve ever seen. Loved it!

This is without a doubt one of my favorite movies of all time. It's full of those little life dramas that anyone passionate about their job is bound to encounter and yet teaches that if you dream big and work hard you can reach your lofty goals. It also gives us hope to dare to believe that there could be life out there and they're looking to not be so alone, just alike all of us... This is one of those films that does credit to the book that inspired it. It's not totally the same, but the main storyline follows well.

I'll generally watch any movie with Jodie Foster. This film, based on Carl Sagan's book, offers a beautiful and thought-provoking experience about out place in the universe. It brings together science and religion, and hopefully leads more people to realize that not only is there a middle ground, but that they are complementary.

This has been, and always will be my favorite movie. I’ve seen it countless times and to watch it on Blu-ray makes it that much more entertaining. It’s a movie that makes people think outside the box.

"Contact" is a smart and thought-provoking movie. The Blu-ray format really makes this movie shine, despite the fact that it was made over 15 years ago. As such, they probably weren't thinking much about special features back then, but what we do end up with is at least insightful even if it's a bit lacking. If you enjoy this movie, this disc is worth adding to your collection on its technical merits alone.

This is an excellent movie, and a classic. I decided to add this release in my Blu-Ray collection and I do not regret the purchase. The movie is crisp and clean. No extraneous artifacts in the display or production on the master. Great buy.

I loved this movie the first time it came out in the movie theaters & I still love to watch it years later. Most of us feel that there is something else out there, that we are not alone, perhaps one day we will find out.

What a great movie, moving, thrilling, inventive... a lot of fun. Not your standard green-aliens-in-space-suit, but a very clever story that won't let you go from the beginning to the end. Superb Blu-ray as well.

Old classic movie of time travel and knowing the truth about extra terrestrial beings very very very good movie..think X-Files meets interstellar

This movie is about is there life out there and if there is how would they CONTACT us .Because the universe is such a big place. it asks the question ,if there's not ,well then its an offal waste of space, don't you think.

I watched this movie a long time ago and loved it. When I saw the DVD available at Best Buy I immediately ordered it. It is a fantastic movie.

An older movie that still delivers! Worth another watch for this classic movie. Wish they made more movies like this.

It's a great grounded science fiction movie. Kinda similar to 2016 arrival
