While the HS80 Max is by no means cheap, I find it a very well-rounded headset for its price point. They're comfortable, have good battery life, and sound great. The only catch is that you are required to download the iCUE software and Dolby Atmos to get the full feature set. Nothing too new for those who have purchased modern headphones today, but it can be annoying to have multiple brands of software on your computer if you don't already have iCUE for some other part of your PC build.

I always buy razer for headsets but this was my first time giving Corsair a try. Overall, it's a good headset - it's lightweight, audio quality is decent. My razer nari ultimate has significantly better bass, but the battery only lasts a few hours. For this headset, I've had it a couple weeks and haven't charged it at all yet. If you're looking for a headset to last a long time between charges, this is the right headset for you.

I use them to moderate webinars with Webex. They're solid, great audio in and out, easy to set up and use, long battery life, flipping mic arm mutes and unmutes mic, easily switchable EQ options, lots more features than I use, but they serve my needs perfectly. My only suggestion is read the manual!

    Excellent Headset; Superior Comfort

The HS80 Max is an amazing headset. No noticeable flaws and excellent quality all around; especially at this price point. While it isn’t as good as say Astro A50X or Arctis Nova Elite, the HS80 Max brings slightly inferior quality all around but at a massive price decrease. 2x Cheaper than Astros and 5x cheaper than Arctis Elite. The major selling point of this headset is its excellent level of comfort; bested only by A50X. At half the price point this headset is the clear choice if you don’t want to spend the money on the more premium headsets. NOTE: this version does not work with Xbox. There is a separate model that works with Xbox as well.

Sounds good but the software sucks.

Pros: Headset is comfortable once adjusted. Battery life is really good and will last for multiple play sessions or full day of virtual meetings. Bluetooth connection to phone while also connected to PC so you can quickly answer phone calls without having to change modes. Volume knob is small enough that it doesn't hit the chair when laying back into seat. Cons: The iCue software is very lacking in features and mostly just advertises for Nvidia. Some features just stopped working entirely, such as the voice prompts stopped working even with the setting turned on. Missing audio due to headset goes into a sleep state after a few seconds of no audio playing. This is not configurable and is separate from the auto-shutoff feature which powers off the headset. Audio will sometimes be messed up when computer restarts and requires the USB dongle to be unplugged and reinserted to fix. Headband adjustment is a pain to get right. Having to take the headset off and guess at how far to pull the straps repeatedly until it finally feels good. Difficult to determine remaining battery life. The iCue software does not use a percentage and only uses things like full and high to describe the battery. Overall I feel that it is on par with the Logitech Gaming headsets I have used for several years. Comfort is similar. Sound quality seems the same. Both have buggy software. And I have a suspicion that the plastic construction will eventually fail in same spots around the lower headband with the tiny screws just like the Logitech headsets do.

Headset is comfortable and sounds pretty good, and the battery life is really good, but the icue software can be frustrating at times. If icue isn't opened then the headset mic stays muted. I have had to reinstall the software since it would crash every time I opened it so I couldn't use my mic for a good 20 minutes after I initially turned on my pc.

Great headset for big head like mine. Got a great deal and used a giftcard for it.. had it for a month now and I have almost no complaints so far. Gets a little sweaty after longer gaming sessions and I wish it was a bit louder. Also really good battery life.

The ear pieces are very comfortable and the adjustable band lets me wear the headphones however is comfy for me. The sound quality is perfect for gaming, listening to music, or just watching movies. As someone who needs high quality audio to enjoy my entertainment, these headphones far exceeded my expectations.

The Corsair HS80 Max’s are very comfortable and have many advantages. They offer a high-quality build with plush memory foam ear cushions; they have great sound quality along with EQ customizations and Sound ID personalization; they have a flip-to-use mic with audio feedback; and have the new ski mask headband design. I’m a glasses wearer so I find myself needing to make micro-adjustments throughout gaming sessions. The Wicked Cushions replacements make the ear cups bigger and way more comfortable, but still not perfect. In my opinion, the Razer Blackshark V2/V2 Pro are the lightest, most comfortable headsets I’ve ever owned; and have many different EQ customization options. If you want to play it safe and have a headset you know is comfortable, great quality, and has great sound, I’d just get the Blackshark V2/V2x/V2 Pro.

    Compared to original Virtuoso

I'm coming from the original release of the Virtuoso headset, the HS80 sounds better and is a lighter headset so you won't have pressure from the top of your head due to the weight like with the Virtuoso. Material used also should last longer since it's not the Faux Leather. So far haven't found anything I can say is a downside to switching.

These headset were an upgrade from my old Corsair dark elite rgb headset! The only problem with them is that after using them for a long while, your ears will get hot and it will feel like there is no air circulation which is okay. Other then that, the mic quality is really good including the audio quality.

Great so far, love that I can use them while they plugged in and charging batteries. Great range across entire 3400 sqft, 2 story house and outside around house as well. Also like the auto mic mute when rotate mic to up position and auto unmute when rotate back down.
