Super good value, traded in a steelseries one for this set and I’m glad I did.

Mic feedback is extremely weak, have to basically have the mic pressed to your lips to hear. Audio sounds very distorted even after messing with iCUE, PC, and In-Game audio settings. Surround sound only distinguishes whether something is out of view, very hard to differentiate between something that is directly behind you or to your right/left. Bought these an hour ago, already taking them back to swap them for something else. I’ve tried the Void Pro and Virtuoso Corsair headsets in the past and neither of those impressed me either, but my other externals use iCUE so I wanted to have it all together. Unfortunately, it seems like headsets are the one thing Corsair just can’t get right.

So far I'm having mixed results with this. It doesn't automatically switch inputs when connected, like my bluetooth headset does. I have to manually change the playback option in Windows for it to work.
Also, it's incredibly difficult to turn on. I have to hold the power button between 15 and 30 seconds before it finally powers up.

Great mic, great sounding headset and great build quality but it gets uncomfortable if you wear it for long periods of time. Also range is short and battery isn't good.
Thank you for your feedback. Have you tried adjusting the floating headband to allow you to wear the headset for extended sessions? In regard to the wireless range and battery life - please check to see if your HS80 is on the latest firmware via our iCUE software. You can also help prolong battery life by adjusting the RGB lighting. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out - we'd be happy to assist: help.corsair.com

I can't comment on the sound profile of these, as I bought them as a christmas present for a friend.
That said, I can tell you the issues he's had with them (and the one I have as well.)
Cons:
1. The micrphone picks up cars (and people) that are WELL over 30 ft away through walls.
2. There's ZERO - and I mean Z E R O noise cancellation on this microphone.
3. The headset constantly randomly disconnects from his computer - my corsair scimitar elite RGB suffers from this as well, so it's likely an iCue, or internal programming bug.)
4. The microphone mutes when pushed up, and refuses to unmute sometimes when pulled back down.
5. The headset "dies" randomly requiring him to re-power it.
6. It occasionally disconnects from the receiver randomly.
7. It likes to tell him "low battery" even though it's been charging for over 8 hours, and just got turned back on.
8. In order to charge it while using it you have to turn it off FIRST...
9. Charging it automatically turns it on. (That's just stupid.)
Definitely unfortunate to hear about the issues you had. If there's something our team can help with or clarify, please don't hesitate reaching out directly right on our site at any time.

The ear pad shape feels bulky, but overall a good product.
