For the price and the quality, especially considering that this is NOT mechanical, this is definitely one of the best keyboards on the market. Looks great, feels great, the clicking isn't as loud as most standard keyboards, you get a few integrated macros, you can adjust various colors, and you don't need any programs to do it. Corsair could easily charge $100 for this and be justified in doing so, but the fact that it's only $50 makes this keyboard a steal.

Got this for my 12 year old son for gaming (Fortnite) purposes. Didn't want to spend tons on a gaming keyboard before knowing how he'd like it compared to console controller. This is good quality, looks great with the RGB lights, and performs well. Very happy with the purchase considering the low cost relative to other keyboards out there! Was not immediately compatible with PS4 upon plug-in...had to do some quick Google searching to find the fix, but it was a simple 2 button combo to get it working. No issues since then!

Just plain amazing, genuinely the best keyboard I've ever used to date. For the price, it's an absolute steal. It feels like something that you spent 100+ on, not 50. RGB is great, you can customize it to your hearts content using the Corsair software. The extra buttons are nice, although I don't really use them for much. What is so nice is the media buttons on the top right as well as the lights for num lock and caps lock. My previous one didn't have those so I never knew if I had caps on or off.

This was the wrong keyboard for me!!! Buyer beware! I, like many others, did not read the specifications about this keyboard before buying it. Had I known that the RGB lights on this particular model ARE NOT fully addressable, I wouldn't have bought it. I fell for the, "Oh wow! An RGB keyboard at a great price!!!" trap! I didn't read the details. Tsk! Tsk!
Another reason this model was was my original pick was because Best Buy has a terrible reputation of not having items in stock at their stores, forcing you to have to order items on-line instead. I despise that! I miss the days when I could drive down to the store, find the model I want, and take it home with me that same day! This was one of only a few models they actually had in stock at the store.
At first glance, this looks like a great keyboard, and, if you don't care about RGB lighting, It IS a great keyboard! Well-built, programmable macro keys on the side. Keys feel great, It's not noisy when you type, and it doesn't look or feel cheap. It's good quality.
If you wanted the ability to set each, individual key to its own color, then this IS NOT they right model for you!!! With this model, the keys are grouped into THREE ZONES. It does not have the option to set each key individually, so while you can do some customization, you can't do nearly as much with the lighting as you can with other, more expensive models. If you don't care about the limitted lighting features, and want your whole keyboard to be one color which you may change to your liking, then this is a great keyboard. IF, on the other hand, you want the option of doing fancing animations or run really cool lighting profiles, you'll want to pass on this model and go with a different keyboard.
The K95 (Which Best Buy never seems to have in stock) comes in at a much higher price, has the same layout as this one, but DOES have fully addressable lights. There's another model, the K70, which is the one I swapped this model with, The difference is that the K70 doesn't have the macro keys on the side, but.... the function keys (or any key for that matter) could be programmed for macros. The K70 has fully addressable lights, meaning each key can be set to a unique color. Big difference! Hopefully you've found this information to be helpful.

So far so good! Excellent for typing and general computer use. I didn't want to spend big money on a true gaming keyboard but I wanted the look and this keyboard fits exactly what I wanted. Very nice RGB lighting, great design and feel, looks premium, Corsair did a great job, and the price is good and even better when on sale. Picked this up after Christmas for $40. Looks great on my Corsair XL mouse pads and next to my Corsair Harpoon wireless mouse.

I had the k90 before this but spilled water on it unfortunately so i had to get a new keyboard; Since i love mechanical keys and i play games a lot, but also didnt have much to spend on a keyboard, I chose this and it exceeded every expectation i had for it. The keys feel sublime compared to the k90 and the RGB lighting which I’m a fan of is seamless. The keyboard itself has a nice “matte” feeling to it, and I love it. 10/10

I'm not an expert or particular about my keyboards but this one feels nice. Seems sturdy and good quality. Price isn't bad. Gaming on this keyboard has been good so far. Typing on this keyboard is good as well. I personally do not care about the RGB aspect all that much but you do have a lot of customization options to choose from. Overall, I don't have any complaints about this keyboard. I highly recommend

The keyboard is great to use! Feels nice, nice having the macro keys. The manual shows you how to set up the macros without having any utility/drivers installed, and shows you how to modify the colors without having anything installed. But if you install Corsair's iCue software, then you can only modify the keyboard colors and macros through that software, and it overwrites anything you set previously unless you close the software.
Probably won't be a big deal for you, but it was annoying for me. idk, would still recommend the keyboard though!

I know what you're thinking! A gaming keyboard for Case Management? Yes! I work as a Foster Adoption Case Manager and I oversee Foster Parents, so naturally, there is a lot of administrative work involved. With administrative work comes a great deal of typing.
With COVID-19 and self-quarantines going on I had to very quickly set up a home office. I elected to purchase the Corsair K55 Gaming Keyboard for my home office. I knew that Gamers needed equipment that would ensure quality gaming but also keep their fingers and wrists healthy. This keyboard had great reviews, and was in my price range. I'm really happy with the keyboard, it types incredibly well, and the backlighting is so much fun! I've been diagnosed with ADHD, I manage it through medication and through fun tech things, and this keyboard definitely keeps me engaged!
I highly recommend this keyboard for hobby writers, gamers, and of course, administrative staff and case managers! It definitely spruces up the case management life!

Gets a loto f themes that other users have made, and you can make your own themes too. The responses are amazing, feels mechanical without being mechanical, so it doesn't have does annoying TAP TAP TAP sounds while playing, won't bother your team mates AS much if you're on open mic. Haven't explored other more competitive keyboards for online gaming, but this has worked just fine

This review is based on my opinions of this keyboard for the time period that I have owned it (26 days). This review may change in the future.
PROs:
Lights/Macros/Media Buttons - With the use of Corsair's iCUE software you can customize the backlight colors for specific sections of this keyboard, create and assign macros to the G1-6 function keys, and use the onboard media buttons for volume and media control. The main feature that I find the most useful is that the letters/numbers on the keycaps appears white when the LEDs are off, but translucent when they are on to let the color shine through. Some other keyboards have pure translucent keycaps to where it looked solid black when the LEDs were not on.
Button Sounds when Pressed - This keyboard does not make that annoyingly loud clicking sound when the keys are pressed. If I had to describe the sound that the keys made when pressed, I would say that it feels like pressing a plastic cap into rubber as it makes a soft "thud" when pressed and is very pleasing to my ears.
CONs:
Build Quality - The entire keyboard is made of plastic and flexes a little when I have both hands on the keyboard or when slightly pressing on the open spots (i.e., areas that do not contain keys).
Macro Key (G1-6) Locations - I find myself using the bottom most macro keys (G3-G6) the most due to their proximity to the W, A, S, and D keys. When I try to reach for the G1 or G2 keys, I have a tendency to press the escape (ESC) key or the tilde (~) key as those keys are a stretch for my fingers to reach.

I was always against membrane keyboards because of the way the felt whenever I pressed a key. But this doesn’t feel like your typical membrane keyboard. I can’t describe but it almost feels A cross between a mechanical and membrane keyboard. Also got this for $39 for Bestbuys cyber Monday deals. You really can’t find a better price for such a keyboard. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a budget keyboard.

This is my second K55, if that says anything. The reason I decided not to upgrade to a K70 or higher is because this keyboard gives me everything I need. Awesome Corsair RGB, check. Amazing feel of the keys clicking, check. Extra programmable buttons, check. Unless you just want a more premium product with more iCue options, which wasn't my concern, then you can get so much for your money with the K55!

The keyboard is built well and has great programmable keys. The backlit keys help use the keyboard more effectively. However, the process to change the lighting and program the keys is odd and takes some time Nd reading the manual to learn. I really wish they had software to make it easier.

I bought this keyboard just as a replacement and for the low price I wasn't expecting that much. I trusted corsair so I went with it and it has blown me away with how nice it is. The keys and texture of the keyboard are absolutely solid and the rgb is an amazing touch. There is little point in wasting money on a super expensive keyboard when this I guarantee is similar in quality and feel. 10 out of 10 would recommend
