Bought headset because had a older corsair headphones that worked like a charm for three years, but started making cracking noises when i would talk to people, and would have the audio cut out every once in a while, so figured might as well keep the theme going of this brand, had to return these about a few days later (would have returned them that day i bought them but work) they would continually disconnect and reconnect for no reason and there was a constant beeping in them, i thought it was due to the battery being low so charged them, it kept happening so started thinking these were a dud so exchanged them for another set, new set did the exact same thing so went and got my money back. TLDR: they trash dont buy them

    Bulky Headphones

There are some advantages to the Corsair Void RGB headphones, but they are many disadvantages to them as well. While some of the features make these appealing, the disadvantages can be deal breakers. First off lets start with the fit and comfort, the headphones were not designed very well in my opinion. They have a very wide headband with medal bars on each ear, which makes them swivel. Due to this design, they are very bulky and the weight of them is so unbalanced that they slide down from your head. The ear pieces are made of a cloth mesh, which is fine for the most part, (although if they used the same material that the mic is made out of, this might make them stay on your ears better). The mic which does not detach is made of a rubberized material, you can move it up to auto mute it, or turn it on by keeping it in the down position. There is a volume toggle located on the left ear which can also be pressed in to activate 7.1 surround or stereo sound. The headphones can be connected to either your PC or a PS4, but if connected to the PS4 there is no volume controls, you'll have to change the vol through the controller. When you connect them to your PC, you want to go and download the software from their website called icue. Through this software is where you can customize the lighting, as well as the lighting effects. I'm not really sure of the point to lighting on the ears, as you can't even see it... The sound of the headphones are actually pretty good. The 7.1 surround effect sounds pretty good and is well simulated. There is a good amount of bass to the headphones, as well as the treble is good as well. Corsair seemed to have done a good job calibrating these. Overall, the Void RGB headphones are not the best gaming headphones out there, as there are too many flaws that outweigh the pro's. The biggest issue for me was the way they fit (or don't fit in my case). These were made just too bulky with not enough support to stay on my head. Also the lack of volume controls for the PS4 is really annoying as well. Although, when I managed to get them to stay on my head, they do sound quit nice. Sadly, I would not be able to recommend these to anyone though.

Worked fine for about a year or so, until it quit on me, likely due to an internal component failure it quit charging, was well cared for, and not abused. Just not built to last apparently.

Overall these are a great pair of wireless headphones that work and sound great. **Setup*** Setup is easy, plug in the Wireless Dongle (recommended in the front of your PC for best signal) and Windows 10 at least finds the drivers. I did have a Microphone issue where it wouldn't unmute, but that was a Windows 10 problem since I just had to go into the settings page for Microphones and toggle it on. I've had to do this in the past, so if you mic won't unmute check your settings in Windows 10. If you want to adjust the EQ or turn on the 7.1 Surround you'll have to go to corsair and install there iCUE software and leave it running since it doesn't look like the headphones don't have any ability to remember the EQ/surround/Mic/RGB settings. **Usage** Using it is very easy, though I did turn off the RGB for some extra wireless time, since I find it kind of silly to light the side of my head that I can't see. That said it worked in all the games I tried. I do like the fact this is a boom mic so muting is either by an easy to reach and press button or raising the Mic. Sound from the headset was clear and didn't get any drops in my play sessions. They were comfortable even with my glasses on and didn't notice them really. Only issue is I wish iCUE had a battery indicator in the software and allowed me to set a reminder at low power to plug them in. Other then that these seem like a good set of headphones that work and sound good enough for me to enjoy my games.

    Too big for women

I'm in search for a decent headset for leading conference calls from home. I need noise cancelling, over the ear for comfort, battery life that lasts >10 hours, wireless, and with a mic because my long hair screws up reception on most devices. I bought these on the recommendation of two coworkers who love them. Unfortunately they didn't come close to fitting my average size head (7 1/4 hat size). They fell off if I moved my head or looked down. My husband tried them on and had similar complaints - just way too big to be stable. I ended up returning them. If you have an oversized noggin, these would be great. I really liked how the mic auto-muted when the mic was flipped up. Quality seems good too. Just way too big - both in size and weight - to be a good choice for the average woman.

    A Comfortable, Versatile Headset.

The CORSAIR VOID RGB ELITE Wireless Gaming Headset follows in line with many of Corsair's other products. It is reasonably priced, stylish, and it just works. In this case of this VOID headset it works well indeed. I have had many gaming headsets, and dedicated headphones over the years, and for the most part they all provide a pretty good sound experience. For me a good headset needs more these days. Ease of use, versatility, and most importantly COMFORT. The VOID RGB excels in all of these areas. I also have the K57 RGB wireless gaming keyboard, and I was able to use my existing Corsair iCue software to manage the headphones. It is extremely simple and meets my criteria of ease of use. The headset itself is most importantly very comfortable. This is no easy task as I have a huge head. The ear pads are made of memory foam, and I can actually see myself wearing them as long as I need to without strain or discomfort. Sound is fantastic. I am not an audiophile by any means, but I am more than happy with the 7.1 experience that these provide. Game sound is directional, and crisp. I am told the mic also provides crystal clear sound, and I love the ability to mute it through a button on the ear cup or by simply flipping it up. I did a real quick test on the PS4 and it worked as expected. I will be using it for both going forward. For the price there is a whole lot to like here. Based on my recent experiences it seems like that is what Corsair is all about. Give it a shot if you want a versatile, comfortable, and great sounding headset at a very very good price.

great functional headset but heavy and funky shape

this headset is my second favorite headset I've ever owned. All of its functions are excellent -great battery life - great sound - great mic ( if you have a problem with the mic on this headset its because you need to install your drivers and make sure you are plugged into a proper usb port on your pc, this headset did not function well on my usb 3.0 port, but works flawless in any standard usb port) -comfortable ear cuppings my only true complaint is that the shape is funky and slides down my head because its kind of heavy ( sturdy but a bit heavy idk if thats a flaw or not just not my personal liking, but overall I'd buy it again because it functions flawless and its at a great price point for being wireless) The RGB is cool but uneccesary because it just drains battery life and you can't see it because its on your head lmao ( should have just came with an RGB strip to put behind my screen)

I am shocked at how comfortable these are. When I first took them out of the box, I thought that they’d be uncomfortable to wear after an hour or two (like my expensive over the ear headphones are). The way that the ear cups are set at an angle- and pivot separately from the headband— they rest perfectly on my head and I barely notice them. The cushions and headband are lined with memory foam. There’s a wind cover for the mic included in the box. On first use, the mic was barely picking up my voice despite the mic volume being at 100 and I couldn’t figure out what the issue was. After downloading the iCue software and rebooting- the mic was working as expected. There are a few light patterns to pick from if that’s your thing. I notice that if I’m taking calls in Win 10- they sometimes power down unexpectedly. Thankfully there’s voice indication to let me know. Im sure it’s a setting in iCue that I overlooked. Battery life is great so far, but the charging light is really small and it’s difficult to tell when they’re fully charged just from the indicator light. I wish they had a Bluetooth pairing option in addition to pairing with the USB-A receiver. The mute button is on the left ear and the mic has a red light indicator to let you know when the mic is disabled. I love that it’s so much larger than the power button so that I don’t accidentally shut them off. Whether you’re using these for gaming, conferencing or voip calls- you won’t be disappointed with the quality.
