i was skeptical about buying this item. but after reading some positive reviews about this product, i went ahead and got them.
all i can say is that it made a lot of difference with the sound its produces as it prevents your turntable making vibrations during play. and it keeps it steady and prevent it from skipping. its best use for old vinyls ,especially if your old albums are warped or wobbly. only use this to independent TT not on all in one type of TT. thanks best buy! love the quality and the case .

Fine, but for small hole (12") records only.

Works. Heavy and seems well balanced. The problem is that it does not have any shape feature to support large-hole records (7"s). To be fair the description doesn't say that it does, but I would have liked an explicit disclaimer for a feature that makes it not very useful with a large proportion of records out there.

Usually I have no problem with any product or service I obtain from Best Buy but this was one that did not serve the purpose for which I thought it was intended. I have been in pursuit of trying to find something that might be place on the center of my phonograph's turntable which would enable me to play some 16 rpm records I acquired recently. Via the Best Buy site of communicating by computer to an agent, I thought I had found the device I was looking for with a "Crosley Record Clamp". Unfortunately when attempts to play one of the 16 rpm records with the clamp attached to the middle of the turntable, it failed to function in the way I thought it would. If there is anyone who knows of such a device or another gadget, please let me know. I did not have any trouble in returning the "Crosley Record Clamp" which makes it not a total loss but I still would like to be able to play the 16 rpm records without having to purchase another record player that would play the usual three speeds of 78's, 45's and 331/3's in addition to 16's.

Put it this way, you'll want to listen to your entire record collection over again after playing one record using this. Especially good with your older flimsier vinyl. It will make them play like they're the new 180g! It stabilizes everything and makes a real difference in the sound.
