Apple should be ashamed for selling this configuration in 2021. But for $60, I was able to turn it into a screamer. From power button to login screen, it took 24 seconds after the upgrade

Great for speeding up old PC's

The speed of this drive is much faster than any old spinning disk drives, and the operation is silent. Using these is a inexpensive way to extend the useful life of an old PC.

Rejuvenated old laptop

Also comes with Acronis disk cloning software which is very good. For my laptop this was the only possible upgrade.

It's fast and nice

The laptop didn't take to it at first but once I updated the BIOS on it. Then it worked fantastically. Check the PC specs before you buy.

New Life to Old Laptop

Crucial free software to copy old drive worked like a charm. Gave new life to older laptop and now it boots in a matter of seconds instead of minutes. Always recommend the largest capacity drive you can afford and this 1 TB is the sweet spot.

Load times were cut by half and gave a new life to my One X. Highly recommend for console storage upgrades.

Still, a really good drive regardless of capacity. Has DRAM cache, solid performer, and still running well 2 years after purchase. Would buy again.
