This product worked right out of the box using the free cloning software provided by Crucial. Changing to a SSD can improve your computer performance drastically. My windows laptop was showing 100% disk usage during startup and was stalling when windows updates were downloading. A SSD will solve this problem.

It’s a good ssd. It’s as described. It was a great bargain

I replaced a hard drive in a second generation core i7 system with an older Intel motherboard and did a reinstallation of windows with the recovery partition. This SSD is incredibly faster than the old hard drive. The complete bootup including startup programs including synchronizing OneDrive and MicroFocus Filr only takes about a minute.

Love these drives. I have several of them in my new and older machines. These are great for refreshing old laptops.

Inexpensive and efficient. If you need a SATA SSD drive for the cheap this is a good option. Not the fastest, but for most it'll meet your needs.

It has been a great pleasure to start enjoying the new Crucial - MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal Solid State Drive . The installation was very easy even though I decided to do a clean installation of win 10. So far everything has been perfect and I can recommend it without any doubt. I bought it mostly for game storage as my other drives have been filling up fast. Drive has great write and read speed for the price. It seems like my transfers from external drives are a bit faster than my Sandisk SSD. That drive is great but this one is just a hair faster. It also has a great warranty. Fast 1 TB SSD. What else do you need?

Hard drive was failing on the computer I had and Best Buy replaced it with this one for me and now it runs like a new computer.

Just save and get a 2TB tbh. Still, a really good drive regardless of capacity. Has DRAM cache, solid performer, and still running well 2 years after purchase. Would buy again.

Purchased and put into someone’s computer that still had a spinning hard drive. With this they have no issues and will be running for years to come without having to get a new computer. Very good for what it does, is supposed to do.

Just what we needed. Our laptop was running slow. Had it looked over by Geek Squad and they recommended this. They installed it for us and now the laptop is performing well.

Purchased this (on sale!) to upgrade our PlayStation 3 (from the original 160 GB hard drive). Even though a good part of gaming on the PS 3 is from the optical drive other aspects (patches, game saves, start-up, etc.) are much faster.

As stated in the title, this SSD is great speeds wise. The only issue is that this ssd is known to run through its read and write cycles much faster compared to other SSDs, which basically means it can potentially die faster. Basically I would likely use this as a game drive but not the main boot drive because of the above issue.

Great speed and quality! Is it as fast as my 990 pro? Nah, but I got a great deal on it and I use it for extra storage right now. Initially replaced my OS drive with it, and the provided Acronis cloning tool was flawless. Love this thing.
