I had an older optical drive beginning to fail (Showing 100% disk usage at idle. Dead giveaway.) after only a couple years of light usage and figured it was time to clone it while still able to do so. Crucial made it super easy with the included software and now this old Acer Spin 3 runs faster than it did new!

This is solid upgrade to any older laptop, pc or mac. My early 2008 MacBook Pro is running like brand new. I don’t have any complaints at all. The read and right speeds are up there with the most other solid state drives out in the market. Would buy again for all my other machines.

Purchased on sale for my Synology DS220+ NAS. I've never had any issues with Crucial products, so why not! SSD is the same model that I purchased years ago for a desktop I have. SSD is fast and the older purchase (2-3 years ago) is still running just fine so i'd say it was worth the purchase again.

Not bad if you want to revive old equipment this makes it 8 to 10 times faster than it was hhd to ssd to squeeze a few more years of usage…

Bought 2 of these to replace the slow HDDs in our Lenovo ideapads. Night and day difference. Boots in a few seconds and ready to go as where it used to take half a minute to boot but was unusable for 10 minutes until it finished loading Windows background programs. Also fit perfectly in the old HDD cradle.

Bought this as an upgrade for my parents’ home PC. Great speed improvement once up and running. The cloning software that came with this SSD didn’t work—hung indefinitely. Not clear if purly software issues there or if the old spinning hard drive was starting to fail. Backing up the disk using windows and restoring to this SSD did the trick.

My older system now works better than I expected!! They worked like crazy to meet and then go beyond my needs!!!! Geekers once again come through for this old guy-my computer & me!!
