These drives are fantastic. If you check out the comparisons, the crucials Mx series have been neck and neck with the Samsung drives. The drive is starting to get a little long in tooth, but still holds its own in the 2.5sata category. Especially for Best Buy’s current pricing. I needed storage and speed as a non boot working drive. Works fantastic! So far the drive has had lots of read writes. Still going strong after running crucial health check. Again this is a quality drive from a well known quality manufacturer. Compare the benchmarks to the WD, PNY and a majority of the sandisks. Simply superior. If your still running a spinner or rust drive, get one right away. The performance boost is worth. Overall ecstatic with the drive. Been following these drives for years now. Looking for a reason to get another!!!

The 1 TB Crucial SSD drive is working great after a few months of use after installation. It replaced a 1 TB spinning 5400 rpm hard drive, and was so easy to install. The instructions for downloading the drive cleaning software was easy to understand. The performance is amazing, and this drive really makes the 4 year old laptop seem responsive. You will need an external USB to Sata connection tool, to clone from the original existing drive to the Crucial SSD drive. The cloning process did take several hours. But as soon as it was completed, and the Crucial SSD drive was installed it was recognized right away by the BIOS, and it boot Windows to the logon screen.

Crucial is a godsend to the PC Storage space. I've purchased two of these drives to extend the storage of my Beelink Mini PCs and have had no issues at all. Great valued item.

Very good SSD, have purchased several SSD’s from 256GB to 1TB and all have worked great. Same speeds as Samsung 870 EVO but at a better price. Good choice for a fast reliable SSD to replace your HD.

The Crucial MX500 2.5" drive is my go-to for a solid state drive for use in either a desktop or a laptop where M.2 2280 is either impractical or nonexistent. For desktop installs, be sure your desktop has the proper brackets for a 2.5" SSD or else you may need a 3.5"-to-2.5" drive bracket. You will also need to provide your own screws for the installation; most 3.5"-to-2.5" drive brackets have screws included, but be sure they are present before you open everything up. I have installed a number of these drives, and I have yet to have a failure; the five-year warranty for this drive is comforting. If you need a 2.5" SSD, the MX500 is a great blend of performance, price, and quality.

I bought this to upgrade my laptop & WOW. Load time from pressing the oower button to putting in the pin is about 10-15secs (way paster than my other HD. Programs run smoother than before. Installation was easy & strait forward. I did a fresh install of Win10 & it performs flawlessly. I have seen some reviews say that it didn't last long so time will tell. The only thing I didn't like was it looked like the box had been opened, but everything was there & nothing was damaged, sooooo, I installed it. So far so good.

Bought as more storage for my pc and worked great. Didn't come with cables but I did have some extra so it was okay. Would recommend buying cables if you are also buying this SSD. Quick set up and had no problems.

Absolutely the best SSD for a system drive. Plenty fast, and the most reliable drive out there - these are all I use for primary drives.

Installed this SSD dtive in a laptop that had been progressively been slowing with each system update. Installed the drive and did a fresh Windows 10 installation. The cold boot time went from 5+ minutes to an amazing 18 seconds. Programs like word and excel load and run in seconds. We were then able to copy the needed files and it’s like a new computer.

I highly recommend this hard drive. It is small, sleek, and highly efficient. My PC boots far more quickly and file retrieval is considerably faster. Also, the price is far less than what I was used to paying for a hard drive. All this and no sacrifice in terms of storage. More value for a lower price is by definition an unbeatable value proposition.

I could upgrade my 8 year laptop that used to take 20 mins to bootup to now just under a min using this SSD. I could not believe it and the laptop is very fast now. Holy cow!! With just 50 bucks I saved $500. I'm sure my laptop is good for another 4 years. The upgrade is also too easy as they have nice instructional video with their software to move everything from your old drive to this new drive,

Probably the best value in 2.5 SSDs. Good warranty, good speeds, great price. Always seems to be on sale. Can bring an older device or laptop back to life.

This has been solid for my Raspberry Pi NAS setup. It's fast an enough The installation was easy with a SATA USB adapter, and I plan to use it for a couple of years.

Replaced my 2017 HDD (paid $40 for it in 2018)..the boot times are so fast I can't even read the BIOS menus anymore. Crucial's website offers software to mirror your OS onto the new drive. It can be a little bit confusing, but once it starts, it's pretty fast. If you find your software freezing for over 10 min with no progress, you need to cancel and start over because it will not progress (left mine on for 2hrs, actually takes 15-20min for 500GB).

Best Buy's Geek Squad installed this when my original drive failed. It is a much better quality drive than the one that came with my laptop. It works well and I am very happy with it.

This SSD was reasonably priced and works very well. I didn't do any speed tests but it seems quick. It was easy to install and provides the extra disk space I needed.

An extremely reliable brand of SSD and competitive in price. Well worth the extra few dollars than the cheap brands. Speed, price and reliability is all you want.
