I use this ssd on a daily basis for professional video editing. The transfer speeds are great and the drive itself has never given me any issues. I live the compact size, and it seems durable enough that i feel confident that i can just toss it in my bag without the need to worry about it

Worked great for 61 days. Do not buy for MacBooks

Read the Apple forums before purchasing because it’s a common theme that my situation was not a rare occurrence but a common theme. Worked great for 61 days and actually stopped working 1 day after Best Buy return window closed. Although that does not help any lost data. I use on a MacBook Pro M2 and about a week ago continued having issues with the drive reading on my Mac. I tried on several different MacBooks and windows laptops and drive does not show up anywhere in disk utility. So I figured the cable needed to be replaced despite the cable working for other drives so went Ang purchased several different types of USB C cords And still can not get it to work. The SSD drive has remained on my desk so it’s impossible to have sustained any damage other than normal use sitting on a desk. After searching various DIY forums it seems like this is a common issue with crucial and Mac although unsure where the problem is except for my situation the drive won’t work on Windows either. Besides the money as I haven’t contacted crucial yet regarding the standard warranty but now having to deal with the rare chance my data can be recovered is the upsetting part. I would STRONGLY encourage anyone considering this item, to also read the Apple forum as this is not an uncommon issue. In addition to also using a second drive to backup this SSD especially if you plan on using it for Time Machine. For the $300 I spent for two months and basically losing my data I’m better off just buying the apple subscription. Who knows maybe the issue is Apple to force users to purchase their cloud storage but either way it does not negate the fact that the drive and all the data on it is potentially gone. I find it ironic that it occurred exactly one day after the return period because even if crucial replaces it I can’t risk the constant worry that it will stop working in less two months. Because most consumers expect for a product to hold up for longer than 2 months. Now in fairness to the Crucial brand the same thing also occurred with the Lacie SSD but in that situation I had it for over a year and chalked it up to something I did. But I am leaning to Apple updates are somehow disabling or making SSD drives completely ineffective to force people to pay for their cloud subscription. Because this is now the second SSD I’ve purchase in less than 18 month and the only complaints with crucial seem to be with Mac users.
