      Used to have problems with laptop battery running down while on the road. Tried a cheap cig plug-in charger, but it fried my system for no obvious reason. This one works great to charge since the regular plug and transformer for the laptop plug into it (not just a straight USB plug) and the charge is regulated by the system approved transformer, not just some cheap fuse. Also works great for most average voltage devices like radios, lights, hot water pot, etc.

      It is on the small side. This way it does not get in the way of the shifter. There is no noise associated with the device. Previous device I used created a moderately loud noise - like loud pavement.
