The quality the camera has is great..I have a few issues with the camera holding the WiFi connection while unplugged, but when it is nothing but great quality..There are a few issues with the Ddlink app where I could view the camera remotely sometimes..I will check with technical support to determine if the camera I have needs to be replaced for a different one...

Made my first home camera a snap!

I wanted a home camera that was easy to set up, had good image quality, a decent app to view remotely, and non subscription/cloud based. At first I was going to go with a model that did the swivel/tilt thing, but when I saw this camera with the 180 degree field of view I changed my mind. Setup- couldn't be any easier! Plugged the camera in, downloaded the app on my phone, scanned the QR code in the box, and within seconds I was looking at a live feed of my kitchen. Awesome!!! Video quality- its fantastic! I leave it on 720 vs 1080 simply because I cant tell the difference viewing on my phone and the file sizes are smaller. Even the night vision is great. No monthly charges!!! Due to the available Micro SD card slot you are not roped into a monthly fee. I did have to call into Dlink service to get my sdcard setup. I'm not sure why other reviewers would complain, but my call was answered very promptly, and Marvin (badge AR004612) was very polite, easy to understand, and within a minute or so fixed my problem which turned out to be user error. With the 180 degree field of view the pan/tilt is totally unnecessary for my use. It is great. Also, the built in mic and speaker work well. I've used it to speak to my kids instead of calling a couple of times. All in all I have to give it five stars!

I got this camera for keeping an eye on my parents, they are older and at risk for falling and other issues, this camera has already paid for itself ten times over! Not only does it give you a sense of security, it also gives my parents a peace of mind known that they are not alone and are being watched, unfortunately my father has fallen twice in the time I bought this camera, it allowed me to see him on the floor and I was able to race home to help him up, if it wasn't for the camera who knows how long he would have been laying there. The picture is not perfect but more than good enough, I actually leave it in Night Vision mode and the picture is great, also the microphone is impressively good. You are able to rotate the camera via your smart phone or computer, it's a little slow but over all I have no complaints. Well worth the money, I went out and bought 2 more for the rest of the house, the smart phone app is very easy to use, set up was a little bit of a pain, I'd say 1 hour but again, not bad. Honestly the best thing I have bought in years and I buy a lot.

For the price, was expecting more. Had a lot of difficulties connecting to the wifi. The video quality via the mobile app was very poor, but the quality of users to save on the micro SD was excellent. Had some difficulties with brought sunlight on the wall and motion detection. There's a kid clicking sound whenever it would switch on for motion or switch from night vision to normal vision. Has a very wide view, and the quality is fine for it. Had difficulty picking up sound. The length of video it saved prior to motion detection was sufficient.

Most improved camera in years - better quality - faster response on unit - improved interface - more alert options - improve picture - easy setup All I can say is well done Dlink. Please consider these improvements to the outdoor model as well.

The full 180 is so much more convenient than pan/tilt. HD video is great. Audio is a joke, nothing but a loud hum.

I really enjoy using this camera while I'm away on vacation or simply just out of the house. Where I live, I can't really trust the neighbors around. It has a wide range so I can see everything in the room. There are also speakers and a mic which allows for communication. I use it to check up on my dogs every once in a while to make sure they're doing OK since I work long hours. The mic however seems t be choppy/laggy, but overall you can still have a conversation with the other person in front of the camera when you're far away. I liked it a lot and it's pretty decent so I purchased one for my dad too.

I purchased this camera to add to my existing security system at my condo on the beach. It was very easy to set up and I love the resolution. And thanks to the wide field of view, I now use this one camera to serve the same area I originally had to use two. I also like the weight of this camera. If you choose not to mount it in a permenant location, you an sit it on a table without worrying about it moving around. I took the other two cameras and used them in other applications.

I have had the product for a day now and like how it works. I had some trouble with the setup because I got a little happy and went too fast. I called the technical support line and Marvin set me down the right path. Had I followed the instructions, the camera would have been set up within 15 minutes. I am still working on messing with the features to see how they all work but to this point it seems to be a good camera. Marvin: Badge AR004612 Case Number: C6791618

My first one of these was defective. Returned. Bought another. Set up in about 2 minutes. Very nice. I have very tall Windows. I mount it to the top of it and get a full view of my front yard. Nice Going to buy another for the side yard.

I am a gadget junkie and I justified this purchase to myself by saying I needed a 180 degree camera in my sunroom so I could see both doors at the same time. This camera does not disappoint in that regard. I see my entire sunroom (which is where my 2 young daughters usually play while I'm at work - I like that I can see them with my wife) and I like the extra "eye" on a break-in point to my house. Setup was easy as I already had a couple of the lower end D-Link cameras. I was quite surprised by the bulk. This is not a small camera. Not that it is a big deal except I had a thought of putting it in my hallway (not an easy task when the camera is a monster). It works great in my sunroom and I am extremely happy with my purchase. I would definitely buy this again.

I love the Hd resolution. I prefer the Dlink over the cameras because I am not charge a monthly rate for the recording. You are still able to record. It also has the option for two way microphone which you could speak to a person in the home through your smart phone.

    DLink DCS-2630L Camera Review

The DCS-2630L cameras were fairly easy to install following instructions in the Quick Install Guide although I needed to reset the first camera several times. The second camera was much easier to set up. I wanted to upgrade firmware so I downloaded instructions for the 2630L from the web site. The web site said to hardwire with ethernet cable the camera to the router. I could not find a port on the camera to connect to so I called the help line. Marvin #AR004612 helped me and he was very knowledgeable. There is no port on this model camera. Marvin helped me check the firmware version of the camera and we found it was the latest version. The model camera downloads the latest firmware via WIFI no cables required.

it is exactly what you would expect from the product description and specs. I had no problems setting up the camera and it was up and running within 10 minutes. I view the video from my samsung s4 all the time while at work and have had no issues connecting.

Best buy has always been an all time favorite place to shop for me. I went with my family members to purchase the cameras that were installed by yours truly. Installation was easy, but after the job was finally done all were very, very happy. The image was sharp and the sound was super clear.

We set up our camera mainly to watch our dogs while we were out. Range isn't good at all, the app kept crashing and yes, you'll need a Wi-Fi connection. All in all it's an okay camera. Lightweight & with a 1080 resolution. I would recommend, just do your research first.

It is a great camera at an ok price. The configuration is a bit tricky but the product itself is good. And you can store your videos/images locally or at your own cloud server. No need for a subscription. This is the reason why I chose this one over its competitors.

There are a lot of features of this camera. Ones that caused me to choose this camera over others: * Doesn't require a fee-based subscription for remote access. * Wireless supports 5 GHz band.. * Camera can FTP video files to a remote system. What I wish was a bit different: * Maximum length of video clips which are transferred via FTP by the camera is 10 seconds. SD Recording can record up to 6 minutes. * Wish there was a way to access/download the SD Recordings remotely either through Windows File Share or FTP. The only way I have found I can access/download the video is to go through camera web interface or physically removing the SD card to copy to a PC.

After a few car break-ins, needed a quick security cam and this one was reviewed well online. After starting to set it up, manually setting it up by downloading the app was very sluggish, but it set up quickly once I tried the WPS auto process. A feature not clearly evident in reviews is that the camera motion detection DOES work through glass. Records locally to microSD. Camera is being used to view driveway/street from inside house, so main product feature for 180 wide view works great. 1080p is not clear enough to make out faces though. Potential problem: doesn't seem to reset/restart quickly with power reset?
