I'm a fan of Dead Space through and through, and this one definitely is a must-buy in my opinion if you enjoy horror/action games. Firstly, there's plenty of new features that the predecessors didnt have before. Single-player co-op is a definite plus. You will experience completely different when you play alone rather than when you play co-op. Dimentia and psychological factors play a huge factor here since for one person they could be walking into a seemingly eerie quiet room, and then your co-op partner could be screaming bloody murder because his character is hallucinating a nightmare. All of this trickles down from an immensely well written original storyline. This time around there are optional side-missions which add to the experience, and there's plenty of small features which make it all worth the buy. 8.5/10 for me.

If you enjoyed the previous Dead Space games, you'll be sure to enjoy Dead Space 3. The most polished, well-paced entry in the excellent sci-fi horror series yet. Bringing a friend along for two-player co-op is a blast. Snow crumbles beneath Isaac’s boots, necromorphs are disgustingly detailed, and the backdrops are stunning. Solid voice acting sells the drama, and the cries of enemies are appropriately unsettling. The new weapon-crafting system and roll dodge make it easy to play the way you want to play. The environments are moody and the gameplay is without a hitch. This is one of the best horror games I’ve ever played. A fantastic game.

If you love challenges and the series of "Dead Space', this is for you. I recommend you play the first two games before playing this one. If you don't you'll get lost as to what's going on in the story-line. The graphics are amazing with a few imperfections (every game has them). The story line is amazing, with a great plot twist in it. Co-op mode makes the game more enjoyable but less challenging. There's an achievement where you need a co-op partner. As to what's bad about it, it doesn't have split-screen so you can't play with a buddy. Other than that it's a great game all around. If you play non-stop I'd say it'll take you a week to beat it. Very great at passing time. Great game.

    Amazing Experience

This game is the best in it's series. CO-OP is a great addition to the game but is not required to get the full experience. Weapon customization is awesome, plenty of suits to use, lots of bonus items for veterans and pre-orders, additional modes unlock as you beat the game on different difficulties adding plenty of replay-ability. Overall, I felt that this game is very well worth the $59.99 and the value increases as you get more DLC (Download Content).

This is by far one of the best horror/survival games and maybe the best in this series. Requires better aim for limbs than before, you have quicker mobility, enemies are harder to predict and seem a lot more intelligent, and the "when will they stop comming" & "oh I'm gonna die" momments keeping getting more intense as you move through. Only down side is I am not too hip on the new mod system for weapons, but it could be I really haven't tried to get too creative as I am trying to just survive right now. All in all though, great game!

EA did a great job with this game. Not so much about cutting off limbs as the first two games. Using the new weapons crafting feature, you can be inventive as you want when dealing with Necromorphs. Projectiles, Plasma, Fire, Force and energy. The weapons have a narrow firing field unless you are using the line gun. Can't really take Necromorphs apart like in the first two games. Only complaint is there is a slow transition between using your primary and secondary weapon as well as firing the stasis. Overall experience was great.

The DS story is getting more epic with each installment. This time around, Issac is here to save the human race, again. We still get lots of different futuristic guns to fight the Necromorphs. What's different is we get to craft and build them. This can make you unstoppable in the later chapters of the game. The graphic is still top notch and the environment is still creepy as ever. The sound effect is very scary if you have surround sound or a headphone. Another great DS game and I'm looking forward to the next one.

I've been a sucker for the Dead Space series since the first one. It's a great-looking series that started off as terrifying. Though the scariness of the series has decreased in subsequent entries, the gameplay has gotten better and better. The weapon-crafting system in Dead Space 3 is great. Some might argue it can be game-breaking, as you can upgrade your starting weapon to be a beast. Co-op is a pretty different experience than the single-player, and it's worth playing through as the co-op character.

    Games was Okay

I bought this game since I played and finished the first two. Out of the three the first one was the best. I did like the weapon customization that was added in, but I didn't like the upgrade system. The story was okay but short, the ending was also a bit disappointing. Some parts felt a bit rushed and I didn't like the requirement for Co-Op to play some of the side missions. I would only really recommend the game if you wanted to finish the story based off of the cliffhanger from the second.

The game is fun to play and offers a lot of interaction. What I particularly don't like is a lack of auto-targetting within the game. The targets can sometimes move incredibly quickly and it's difficult to lock-on while trying to run and shoot. Also, difficult to identify from which direction you may be getting ambushed. I guess I'm more of a novice player but those two features (or lack of) made me stop playing the game.

To much action, not enough scares

Dead Space 1 and 2 are great games. They are tense, have some great scare moments, and provide a great atmosphere. Dead Space 3 on the other hand, doesn't do any of these things. The game is more action oriented and the addition of co-op takes away from the tense feeling of the other two. If you are all about action and shooting games you make like the game more than idea. I just expected more from what was a great franchise.

I'm a huge fan of the Dead Space, although a fitting end to the series, the story line is a bit of a double take. No spoilers here, but several times it seemed like a stretch. All in all I love what they did, great gameplay, characters at times have a couple of "not what I would think he would do moments" The developers close the Dead Space universe neatly, leaving a few places to pick up later. Not as good as I expected, but still an A game.

For those hardcore Dead Space fans it takes a little time to appreciate the changes to weapon crafting but once you get the idea the tools at hand can be turned into deadlier weapons than in previous Dead Space games. Everything about this game is well done. Unfortunately, the story line for the single player mode is slightly lacking but not by much. The best experience is to go online and play CO-OP with a partner of your choosing.

A great example of how not to infuse co-op in your game. I picked this up for about $20 after I played the previous two games, but soon discovered that unless you are playing co-op it is impossible to complete the game with all side missions, collectibles and weapon upgrades. The story and gameplay are just so-so, unless you got a buddy with you ready to tackle the co-op sections then don't bother.

The game has fantastic art direction, and the realization of it in game is amazing. The monsters are diverse and the locations varied. Playing alone in the dark is best, the tension is frequent but paced well. Some of the difficulty and intensity is scarified when playing cooperative. The crafting system is interesting, allowing weapons to be created, customized and shared.

DS3 is a GREAT game but it is nowhere near as great as Dead Space 1 or 2 (pt 1 ranks as one of my favorite games of all time. I don't like the microtransaction aspect (tho it is not mandatory I'm just not a fan of it in principle) but otherwise this is a great game & if you enjoyed the first 2 parts of the Dead Space saga you'll most likely enjoy this chapter.

A great third installment to a story that good easily translate to a blockbuster movie franchise. This is what game should be, to immerse yourself into a story that you have control of the main character. The addition of co-op is a great a extra but not necessary for the game. I do recommend playing the first two games so as not to be lost in story.

If you liked the first 2 then don't skip this one. The storyline had an interesting twist and the game keeps all the good and adds some new . I like the new but i also am glad they kept the crafting optional by adding blueprints for those who don't want to twink weapons for hours.

Game story line still is strong. However, I think it is time for the franchise to begin to expand more into it to keep the audience glued to the franchise. The game has its moments that put you in your toes but for the most part it keeps you in suspense all around.

This game for me was a bit more of a challenge than the last one. Love the idea of collecting different materials to craft items. Also the gun crafting was a good addition to the game as well. Like the idea of creating whatever weapon you can craft. Very fun game overall.
