Mario from Bestbuy @rt 22 in NJ helped me pick out a wonderful Laptop. I work from home so this laptop handles QuickBooks Pro, excel, word and PDF running at the same time. Does not freeze and the battery lasts a good 7 hours. Super light and adjustable. After owning 4 HP computers I never though to go back to a Dell. Its truly great. Super light weight laptop and pwerful.

I picked up the Inspiron 13 Special Edition (2015 edition) in late March of this year.
Build Quality: The overall build quality of the machine is quite nice. The soft touch plastic on the display is nice, though it is a bit of a fingerprint magnet. The aluminum palm rest is beautiful and feels great to the touch. The hinges seem sturdy so far, this is always a concern of mine when buying Dell laptops and I usually shy away from them because of the hinge quality, but so far this machine has had zero issues. The machine isn't the lightest notebook on the market but but is definitely not bad at 3.68 pounds. It fits nicely in a backpack and takes up very little space on a desk or table and sits comfortably in my lap.
Performance: The machine came with an Intel Core i5 5200U with 8GB of RAM and a 500GB mechanical hard drive. The hard drive is going to be the biggest drawback as it's a slow 5400 RPM mechanical hard drive. The first thing I did was replace the drive with a Toshiba 256GB SSD and the difference was night and day. Apps load quickly, the machine boots up fast and powers on from standby very quickly! With the SSD you don't have the fear of the hard drive failing if you bump the machine or it gets moved around a lot while it's on.
The Intel HD 500 graphics do alright for most things, it has no problem powering the beautiful 1080p IPS display. Streaming movies on Netflix or YouTube in 1080p are flawless. Some older games work fine, like Left4Dead 2, Fallout: New Vegas, and some simple games like The Binding of Isaac. More modern games probably won't play well on this machine, and that's okay, it's not being marketed as a gaming PC.
Applications like Office 2013, Google Chrome, Skype, all work beautifully and the 8GB of RAM is plenty for multitasking.
Battery life: The machine is advertised as getting 7 or more hours of battery life, realistically, expect around 6 hours of light use. With the SSD upgrade I can get a little closer to 7 hours if i'm just browsing the internet and brightness set around 40%. Standby time is great as the machine will shut down after a few minutes after going to standby and booting back up takes seconds with the SSD, it is a little slower waking up with the included manual hard drive.
Speakers: The speakers are okay. They're decently loud and at lower volumes have some depth to them, at higher volume they get tinny and lose quality. They are in a weird spot, they fire out of the bottom on the left and right side of the palm rest towards the front of the machine. They're fine if you're sharing a YouTube video or watching Netflix but don't expect studio quality sound from them.
Display: This display is fantastic. The TrueLife IPS panel looks great, it gets reasonably bright but is not perfect for outdoor viewing. Colors look great, blacks are excellent and colors are bright and vivid. Viewing angles are great as well. There is a little shadow effect on each side of the screen, i'm guessing it has to do with the touch digitizer.
Speaking of touch, the touch screen works great, it's accurate and supports up to ten points of touch simultaneously. Personally, I don't use touch very often, i bought the machine for it's portability, touch screen is just an added bonus.
Connectivity: The machine has built in WiFi 802.11AC 2.4 / 5GHZ and works as you would expect. Bluetooth is a nice addition that also works well.
The machine has 2x USB 3.0 ports and 1x USB 2.0 port, a full size HDMI port, a single 3.5 mm headphone / headset jack that works with standard headphones as well as headphones with a built in microphone. There's also a full size SD card slot for those of you who need additional storage or have a digital camera and want a quick way to back up photos.
The webcam works alight, I don't have anything to compare it to as both of my laptops have built in webcams and they both look about the same as far as quality.
Keyboard and Trackpad: The keyboard is nice, the keys have a nice satisfying click to them and the travel isn't too bad. The backlight is a nice addition and has three settings, dim, bright and off.
The touchpad is much nicer than what Dell has used in the past and works as you would expect. It's not as nice as Apple's offerings, but for a Windows based laptop, it does very well.
Final thoughts: Overall I am happy with my laptop, I would recommend upgrading the hard drive to an SSD. I like how Dell built the machine so the hard drive and RAM are user replaceable, as these are the two components most likely to fail.

I bought this laptop to replace a 2011 Dell with Core i3 and 4gb ram, that I used for college. Considering the specs of this laptop I expected a much better performance than the one I owned before, but the change hasn't really been that great. I'll try to review it in 3 categories, here:
Looks:
-The laptop is VERY light, thin and sturdy looking. I love these specs, I can barely feel it in my bag and the look is fantastic.
-The lighted keyboard is a plus for people who use the laptop at night.
-I like the brushed metal detail when opened.
-The lid is a fingerprint magnet, but it can easily be cleaned.
Hardware
-My biggest issue with the laptop is the touchpad, it really isn't very smooth. It works well, but I honestly prefer my old laptop's touchpad. I've been getting used to it, but I still struggle a bit.
-The Core i5 5th gen with 8gb Ram doesn't perform a lot better than a Core i3 2nd gen with 4gb Ram, at least for everyday use running Chrome with several tabs, Office programs and some other program. In fact I've had this laptop lag a bit with heavy work programs like Photoshop.
-The speakers are very small but I am quite pleased with the sound. It is not the best sound of course, but it is perfect for my needs.
-Touch screen, I really didn't care for this spec because I don't want a laptop to use it as a tablet. However the touch screen has come in handy with PDF documents and for scrolling (considering my struggle with the touchpad).
-I use my laptop mainly in my lap and it heats up a lot, this happens near the fan both underneath and in the keyboard section.
-Battery life is great! I get around 5 hours give or take 30 minutes, considering use.
Software
-I can't wait for Windows 10 to be released
-The laptop comes with some pre-installed apps that you can easily delete.
-It takes like 2 minutes to fully boot, I expected it to be faster.
-My package did not come with the KIS 2015 pre-installed or in a separate box, so I had to call the Geek Squad and it was VERY hard for them to solve my issue. However I succesfully got my key so that's no longer a problem.
-I had a problem with the wireless that kept disconnecting, however a driver update fix the issue. Don't panic if this happens, it has something to do with Windows 8.1 not the laptop.
Overall the laptop works very well, however I thought this would be an upgrade and it hasn't been so far. It works better of course but because it's new, my old laptop was as smooth when new. Don't know why this happened. The price is fair, not the best bargain out there (bought it at $649).
I am considering to change the hard drive to a solid one, but that'll be after the warranty expires.
*I may update this review later after I install a couple of games just to test it.

Great looking laptop. I love that I have the ability to flip the screen and convert it into a tablet (although I haven't used that feature). The keyboard has a great feel, the screen is touchscreen- I haven't had any issues of malfunction with it. I have experienced the computer freeze about twice momentarily, but nothing to the point where I had to restart it. This laptop does not come with a CD ROM, I wished it did but that's a minimal inconvenience, as they can be purchased for cheap separately. The laptop has a great battery life, is light-weight and looks great.

I needed to replace my university laptop, which was a large, heavy HP from 2011. I settled on this 13.3" Dell 2-in-1, because I figured I would not need something heavy duty now that I wouldn't be using 3D modeling or MATLAB programs on my personal computer anymore. However, I was surprised by how well the little thing ran PC games, multiple apps and programs, and music. Sound quality is pretty good, the screen is bright and vivid, and the touch screen has worked flawlessly. The trackpad isn't great, but the keyboard is just perfect for my hands - it fits well. It took a while to get used to Windows 8, but now I am using my laptop more efficiently than my last. It also looks great, and lasts for hours on a charge.

This Dell Inspiron 13-7352 2-in1 laptop retails for $700+ with an Intel core i5 processor. I picked it up for $503 from a local Best Buy open box inventory; only the power cord was missing, and I quickly bought one from Dell for $50. It was still in the original box and wrapping and in perfect condition. I doubt if it was ever used. The machine is fast, has an incredible screen resolution, plenty of memory and storage capacity, and it's fairly light-weight. Awesome deal. I've already upgraded to Windows 10 and it's running flawlessly. Best computer purchase I've made in years.

When I first bought the laptop the fans were extremely loud and could be heard from another room. I did some research and this appeared to be a defect that others had experienced too with this model. Dell Support said I could send it to be fixed but it would take weeks. Instead, I easily exchanged it for another one at Best Buy.
The new laptop is extremely quiet and light to carry. The different folding configurations are very useful for reading and watching videos. The "bonus" softwares that were supposed to come included because I bought it from Best Buy are missing. The keyboard buttons are very soft to the touch and do not depress very much when they are pushed.

Bought for my sister as hers was destroyed by her dog and she needs a laptop for school. She loves the convertible feature after at first saying its stupid and when would she ever use it. Battery life is great, hopefully she doesn't do what she did last time and always leave the thing plugged in. She is very happy with it even after upgrading to Windows 10 after using Windows 8 for the last 2 years. I may look into one of these models when my company needs to buy me a work laptop.

This is my 3rd 13.X" laptop all with the Core I5 starting with a HP Pavilion, then an ASUS and now this Dell. I use it for both personal use as well as for my business so main uses are email, web research, WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT and Photoshop Elements 13 (amateur photographer). For me this laptop has a very good set of features for the price (I very rarely use the touch screen and time will tell if I use the 2 in 1 feature using it as a tablet). It was easy to set up, everything worked as it should and I was happy to see that it didn't seem to be bloated with a bunch of software that I would just have to get rid of. I would rate the touch pad as being quite a bit better than the ASUS (my biggest complaint on the ASAU) but nor quite as good as the HP. Will have to see if it holds up as well as the HP did. The screen on the Dell is very good. I would have given it a 4.5 if half stars were available.

I purchased this computer September 2015 and really love it. The last computer I bought was a MacBook in 2007, so it was a much needed update. I really liked the Mac (never had a single problem with it), which was my computer during and after college. I use Windows at work, and work from home using Remote Desktop Connection. Whether I'm using this for work or personal use, I thoroughly enjoy the entire package. The look of the Dell is awesome (classy, timeless) and I can't believe how light weight it is. The back lit key board is a must. Table (and "tent" mode) are also awesome. I like being able to stand it up for shows, and the speakers are awesome. Windows 10 has been really awesome so far.

This computer is very easy to navigate. I have been looking at 2 in 1 computers for a while and couldn't decide on what I wanted. Finally, I went into best buy to look at some different models and saw this one and fell in love. The 13.3 inch screen is a perfect size for home and school use. Very light and easy to carry. The touch screen has great response. I haven't tried the Dell active stylus with it yet but plan on getting one soon (I was told in store that the pen did not work with this model, but I looked it up and it is compatable)

Overall, I'm much happier with this device. I like it's light-weight and speed.
I don't use the touch-screen very often, not because it doesn't work wonderfully, it does. I had my prior Dell laptop for over five years, so I'm simply not used to touch screens.
Of my main two complaints, only one has to do with the computer, the other is the switch to Windows 8 -- I CANNOT wait for Windows 10! The computer related complaint is the feel, touch and sensitivity of the keys and the, I guess you call it a mousepad. I swear I don't even touch certain keys and they become active. I'm constantly being asked if I wanted to turn on sticky keys. The mousepad similarly will think I'm clicking on things when it's just my hand hovering, and yet, finger taps have to be in the precise middle or it stops responding. While I was getting used to the mousepad, that was the period when I used the touchscreen the most -- mainly because I was getting impatient and frustrated with trying to get the mousepad to register my finger taps... It's been a couple weeks now, and I'm mostly used to the mousepad. The key sensitivity, still working on getting used to that.
Overall, I do have to say this is a great little machine and I'm very happy with my unplanned purchase for a replacement laptop. I'm also very thankful for the helpful Best Buy employees that listened to me lament over my dead, five-plus-year-old Dell and how I wanted the exact same thing, only lighter-weight. They were patient and asked questions about how I use my laptop, how I would prefer to use it, etc. and then paired me with a great match.

I finally had to retire my very old laptop which I loved. I was reluctant to have to get a new computer as I had Windows 7 and loved it. Out of necessity I had to replace my old laptop. I was pleasantly surprised at how light this new laptop is! I guess I never realized how heavy my old one was until I got the new one. I think one of my favorite features is the backlit keyboard! Love, Love Love the touch screen. I don't know how I waited so long to convert!

This dell is excellent portability. I bought this for my wife, so that she can carry it to office or elsewhere.
Core i5 with 8GB, along with SSD I changed later, is more than enough of her needs. absolutely no gaming, just regular usage, email, browsing, streaming, MS office etc.
hardware repair/replacement also looked much easier despite this compact form factor.
Hinge is solid. Transforms into tablet mode smoothly. very good response for touchscreen and touchpad.
Though not a complain, but it seems like a bit larger, may be 14" screen could have been fitted.

I love the size and power of this Dell laptop. It's got a great back lit key board that you can turn dim/bright or off. I really like that it's a touch screen.. so I can go back/forth from keyboard to tapping the screen for navigation. I really like how I can fold the keyboard back to make it a full touch screen. It came loaded with Windows 8, but the download for Windows 10 was available after initial setup. I like the Windows 10 navigation much better than 8. The only thing that I had to reconfigure were the function keys. Out of the box, you have to press fn+F5 for refresh. The F Keys were set to the laptop utility shortcuts. But it's a simple config change to make the F keys default. Other than that..so far it's great. Nice speed from the solid i5 processor, 8GB RAM is a nice complimenting size for the CPU, and 500GB hard drive is plenty of room for my needs. Also, the battery life is very strong. I was able to use it all day without plugging in. It seems to do a good job of saving power when not in use. It's very intuitive and light enough to take anywhere.
