I just bought a Dell Laptop recently and unfortunately the series was not come with a built in DVD Drive. But then found a best deal on best buy and turn out its Dell DVD Drive. Installing a copy of microsoft office without a hassle.

This is a plug and play external DVD-RW. It works well with my new HP Laptop. Buy it, it is well worth getting. I have used it for two months. Steve73

When I got it there wasn't any instructions so I hooked it up and it worked without issues just like it was part of the computer. I am pleased with it's ease of operation.

I bought a Dell laptop without a built-in DVD drive. This drive is very fast, works great and in fact is better than the one in my previous laptop that had a built-in DVD drive.

It works perfectly with Dell laptop. No software needs to be installed. It works simply by plugging into USB port.

It worked good with my Mac! No downloads needed!!!

The dell external drive is compact, quiet and does not drain the battery on my PC. Would recommend to anyone who needs s portable hard drive while traveling on business or pleasure.

This does exactly what it’s supposed to. I connect it straight to my HP laptop and it’s so easy to use. The discs are detected as soon as you put them in!

Most computers now don't come with a disk drive, here is your solution. Inexpensive and use when you need it. It does not do blu-ray which will cost a bit more.

Works great for those programs or games or movies that are still on CD or DVD. Nice to have since most of the computers nowadays don't come with them installed.

The exterior Disk drive worked seamlessly with my laptop to be able to load the software that I needed from CDs. Didn't need 120VAC. The operation was easy and intuitive.

My new laptop did not come with a cd/dvd drive and I needed one to install software and burn cd's. It was easy to install and use and the cd/dvd burning software that came with it was a bonus.
