    I needed a dvd:cd player for my new computer. I purchased this player at Best Buy, plugged it into my computer and “voila”, it worked as described. Can’t ask for more than that!

    I purchased this because I have a newer laptop that does not have a CD DVD drive internally. I needed to load some software onto my computer. This definitely does the trick. It's also convenient for viewing DVDs on the same type of laptop!

    I bought this to install a Microsoft Suite for a laptop that did not have a drive. This worked perfectly and you can store it when not in use.

    Works great and easy to install. Purchase a new laptop and most do not come with a DVD Drive. Purchased this one was great buy and cost under $30.

    The only drawback of my new lap top is that it didn't have a built in CD/DVD player. This device operates smoothly and interacts with the lap top as if it were built in. I love it.

    Yes, its a USB DVD drive. In case you forgot to put one in your new tower. It does what it needs to, and little else. Haven't had any problems otherwise.
