For those of you who do not have a DVD player / burner on your PC this is a plug and play device with no learning curve.

bought this because don,t need a disc all the time and to get a drive in my refurbished tough book they wanted $395.00 so this is a good deal

Its lightweight, unobtrusive, and works flawlessly. It connected right away to my Lenovo laptop and hasn't given me a single hint of a problem. It was a great purchase.

Have not used it yet, plugged it into my laptop to make sure it worked with it.

The Dell - USB Slim DVD+/- RW Drive - Plug and Play Model DW316 was purchased along with an HP Envy laptop. I needed computer access to legacy cd's and dvd's since there was no internal drive on the laptop. I simply plugged it into the USB port and it worked perfectly immediately. Having an "add on" device like this which is only used periodically lessens the laptop weight.

A good cd rom or cd reader or cds burner for the price.

As a teacher whose laptop doesn't have a disc drive and who has to use cds in language teaching, I would be lost without it.

Excellent addition to my new computer. Easy to install and good sound and visual qualities. I would purchase again.

Quick and easy plug n play. Seems to work just fine so far. Havent had a chance to use it too much but cant complain yet. not used to extrnal drives not already on laptops

Compact, light-weight and does everything I want of it. While it lacks the ability to do Blue-Ray, my needs were primarily to load software and burn CDs. No complaints!

Bought this to use with my HP desktop computer which didn't have a CD/DVD player. Works just fine.

my dvd drive on my laptop died so i thought i'd try this as a cheap fix. it works as expected and it was on sale

Replaced my old DVD player with this. It's basic but does the trick and is easy to eject.

I bought the Dell DVD+/- RW to supplement my Dell Inspiron that does not have a DVD Drive. The Drive operates as expected and is a nice slim size.

Perfect for my Dell computer I just purchased as it came without a drive for DVD and easy to plug in and use.

This drive is great. It is a replacement for an earlier device and I am very pleased. Works like a charm, easy to use.
