This external drive works great with my Dell laptop. Was able to view an old dvd, I’ve waiting to see for more than a year.

works well, have to have with new computers that come without this feature

I got this external dvd drive for my new dell laptop it works great I just got it for watching movies . You have to down load vlc software to use it.

Great gift idea. A good way to transfer DVD movies to digital.

I recently purchased a laptop without a CD player and picked this up so I could still download CD's or watch DVD's. The player isn't as sturdy as I thought it would be, but the set up was easy and it plays well. No issues so far.

This was perfect for what I needed. Addition to my Mac. Never used to burn since I was told it doesn’t so be sure to ask if that is what you want it for.

This drive worked well and was easy to use with a 2017 iMac. We plugged it in to a USB 3.0 port and it worked right away. Seems to do the job well at a good price.

Lack of robustness, flimsy. Feels as though it won't take much to break it.

Bought it on sale as backup just in case i need it since desktops and laptops now comes without drives. Works well.

Son's laptop needed a drive. This external drive did the trick...quick set-up, portable and does the trick as to playing & burning cds. A bit cheap plastic housing but not concerned as it works well and the price was right.

This item is a real winner. It works great and needs no help in installing it

So I'm not a fan of having to carry around and whip out all types of various accessories and gadgets to accomplish various tasks as this can get annoying fast. But I guess for the purpose it serves, this technically does the job and it does so fairly well. I have come to be very displeased with the Dell brand over recent years as their quality is so cheap and the products do not have the longevity you would want. In retrospect, I would probably opt for either LG or Asus brand DVD drive. But for the price, this was decent, I'll give it that. Just be aware that you get what you pay for when it comes to Dell. I've learned that the hard way a few times over the years.

Simple, effective device for all-ins that typically don't have CD drives. Easy plug and play set-up.
