    Bought the Dell - 8x External USB DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive based on other reviews. It is cheap and light , it works well and came with reasonable free software. Would buy again..

    So far, so good. Because it just sits on a surgace, it is much more awkward to use than a built-in disk reader. But since these seldome are included in contemporary desktops, this is an adequate substitute.

    This is a good unit, it's black. It's lightweight. It should be able to handle being treated moderately roughly but because it's plastic you wouldn't want to throw it around the room.
