If you try to operate this drive with the included Cyberlink disc as the driver - it will not work! Had to pay another $40 in addition to the $40 drive price for a total of $80 to get up and running. Geek squad had to use the VLC media player to get it to work.

It would not open a DVD until I installed the software from the box. I thought the software was just some extra editing software, which I did not intend on installing since I use Adobe Creative Suite. However, I couldn't get this to work until I installed the software suite in the box.
