    I bought this drive because I had a pretty big disc copy project to do, and wanted to save a little wear and tear on my laptop's drive. It worked fine for the project. My main concern is that it seems pretty lightweight and a little flimsy, and I'm not sure how long it will continue to function. That said, for the price, I'm happy with it.

    flimsier than expected. but for its price i guess i shouldnt complain... i do wish it was more plug-n-play ish because you still need SOME sort of media player for it to work. thankfully there are a lot of free ones out there. i did not / and dont plan on using it for writing ON dvds/cds etc. just wanted to watch dvds

    After buying my Dell lap top, I discovered it did not have a built in DVD/RW drive. Just assumed it did since all my previous lap tops came that way. Nevertheless, the Dell DVD/RW works perfectly with my lap top which is also a Dell product.
