    I never realized that DVD/CD players were no longer a part of computers. I purchased this portable and it works great, I can even use it in my car.

    Purchased a similar product by samsung prior to picking this one up when I happened to be in best buy. Had to return the samsung as it flat out didn't work. This one does! Yay.

    Product took a bit to figure out at the instructions only indicated to plug and play. After a few unsuccessful attempts of trying to run the disc I wanted, I used the disk that came with the unit and thereafter everything downloaded fine.

    I still have use for a dvd reader but laptops don't seem to come with them anymore. This works as well as any if you still have a need for one.
