It replaced a Blu-ray/DVD RW drive that I left at a job site. I did prefer my other drive. I don't use these often, but do need from time to time. I would not buy this again. Not because I don't like it, and it did work, but shortly after purchasing Dell hit us with a commercial that, IMO, is political, and I don't like to do business with companies that get into politics. Go with a company that just sells a good product at a fair price, and stays away picking political sides. I have owned a few of these, and have had good luck with all of them. Now if I could just stop leaving these on job sites I could save some money.

Great CD and DVR burner

After transferring several CD's, it began to make a noise and the tracks that were transferred had skips in the songs. After waiting a while, I was able to transfer the tracks without any problems. Not sure if this drive can handle a very robust workload.
