WILL NOT BUR A CD

Can not get this to burn a CD, it reads just fine but will not burn. I looked to update the driver and it said I already had the most up to date driver. Uninstalled the software that came with, that didn't work, even tried burning it through Windows media player, Tried 3 different brands of discs, no go.....Waste of money.

Poor instructions and failed to read media. Should have purchased laptop with built in media reader. Weight increase would be worth penalty.

Doesn't work with XPS 13 Win 10

Media Suite 12 software that came with the product wasn't compatible with my Dell XPS 13 Windows 10 machine. Spoke to Dell, and despite the product description stating it is Win10 compatible, clearly such is not always the case. Dell advised me to return the product to the store where I purchased the item.

Had no problem with software installation and start up. Worked just fine and was very quiet.

Overall the drive is too lite, when opening the drive the spring shoots the drive across the desk. Had to return first one, (easy process albeit a headache to have to do it), the drive just spun with grinding noises without reading disk.

Bought this when we bought a new computer. Would not work with Windows 12. Went to the software mfg. site to get the new driver and they want to charge us for the upgrade. Decided to return the unit.
