Words straight out of the box No driver installation needed. Was using with a Surface Book with Windows 10. Very slim. No issues.

Really easy to use & works very well. Much better than having a cheap portable DVD player. But don't load the CD that it comes with unless you are sure you know what you are doing. It has nothing to do with playing DVDs & I wound up with a tech before I got it straightened & got the DVD player working.

It works. Plain and simple. You plug it in to a USB port and watch DvDs via your computer. Extremely satisfied with my purchase.

THIS IS MORE OF A THANK YOU TO THE FEW THAT HAVE BOUGHT THIS DVD/CD EXTERNAL DRIVE PLAYER... I JUST BOUGHT THE HP ENVY LAPTOP, THE MUCH HIGHER PRICED ONE WITH ALL THE TOP OF THE LINE SPECS ETC., SO I DONT KNOW WHY I WOULD OF JUST ASSUMED THERE SHOULD OF BEEN A CD/DVD DRIVE PLAYER ALREADY INSTALLED IN IT..LOL.. CRAZY HUH.. SPENT OVER $1000.00 ON JUST THIS LAPTOP ALONE (NO PRINTER AS OF YET WHICH I ALREADY KNOW WHCH ONE I WANT TO PURCHASE. ANYWAYS, THANK YOU FOR ALL FOR MAKING ME FEEL A BIT BETTER THAT THIS DELL IS EASY AND WORKS WELL WITH THE HP. I CANT SIGN OFF WITHOUT MENTIONING ANOTHER IMPORTANT MISSING COMPONENT I FOUND OUT AFTER PURCHASING MY LAPTOP & COMIG HOME TO NOTICE i WAS SUPPOSE TO GET A 6 MONTH FREE ANTI VIRUS FROM WEBROOT, WHICH I DID NOT GET AND STILL DO NOT HAVE, WHEN I CALLED THEM (BEST BUY) WHICH IS THE PORT RICHEY STORE HERE IN FLORIDA, APOLOGIZED AND SAID THEY WOULD SEND ME THE SOFTWARE.. THAT WOULD BE GREAT IF i HAD A CD/DVD PLAYER ALREADY INSTALLED AND ON MY LAPTOP!!!!!!! STILL THEY HAVE NOT MADE IT RIGHT WITH THE WEBROOT. IT HAS BEEN PAST THE 7 DAYS OR HOW MANY DAYS IT IS, IM SURE ITS PAST WHERE THEY COULD HAVE IT DONE AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE BY THE GEEK SQUAD BEFORE I EVEN LEFT THE STORE.. I STILL HAVE ALL MY RECEIPTS. BUT NOW I HAVE TO SPEND $40 ON A CD/DVD EXTERNAL PLAYER.. PLUS AN ANTIVIRUS..

My laptop does not have the capability to play music or video CD's. So this item was just what was needed to be able to do just that. The item set up was completed easily and it is used on a regular basis. Very happy with the purchase.

Product worked as advertised. Just plugged it in; worked from the get-go. Seemed kind of flimsy and I guess it is, but, considering the cost, I'm getting my money's worth. If you need something like this, buy it.

When you can't find a laptop with a slot for DVD's without paying a lot of money, this worked really great!! I have a lot of things that are on DVD and this solved my problem without costing a lot of money,

Works great, bought this after having a poor experience with the more expensive Apple Superdrive and am much happier with this drive's performance importing CD's to my music library.

Since my new computer doesn't have a cd I needed an external one. This is easy to use and works great.

It simply works. I plugged it into my pc's usb port and the system recognized it without having to load any drivers.

Just got new computer, did not have DVD Drive. I had to load old software that I couldn't get from the internet.

This is a very easy and convent item for those individuals who have to read data off a CD.

Windows 10 Pro. Just plug it in and off and running. Reads and writes just fine. Tried Chinese knockoff drive from another source that failed to write and returned it. My only disappointment is that the included software is useless unless you pay to upgrade it.

Plugged it in to my computer, put in a cd and it opened the files on the cd without any problems.

Love how you just plug it in an it always plays as you dont have to install any drivers.

Nice Plug and Play DVD player for my Dell laptop. It's working fine for older and newer photo discs.
