I jumped from my tower with CD/DVD drive to a WIN11 mini with NO periferals. The USB CD/DVD drive lets me read, write and continue to archive my music and data.

I purchased this external DVD/CD drive with my new laptop since it doesn't have one of its own. Call me old-fashioned, but I'm not a fan of having a computer with no CD drive. I mostly use it to play older games that aren't available through download engines like Steam and Battle.net. It's well worth the 40 bucks for me.

The external drive is very compact and worked flawlessly. It is a great value for the price.

I did need to down load a DVD reader for some DVD's but there are many low cost options available. I find this unit very easy to attach to my computer when needed and have had no problem with it working. I recommend this unit if you're looking for a basic DVD player!

DVD drive, easy to use!!! Our 12 year old computer crashed a while ago so went to Best Buy to get a new one. New computers don't come with CD/DVD drives anymore, we didn't know This is so easy to just plug into the new computer and now I can view all my pictures again.

Love this machine if you need a cd player. With most new laptops there is no cd rom in them, so I'm still a little old school and need one at times, but I just bought a new laptop that doesn't have it installed, I decided to get one, and sure enough I have used it a few times already, and really love it. its quiet and fast and when I have done what I need with it, I put it away back in box and in desk till the next time.

Great little light weight external drive. Price is excellent for the quality of this product.

Easy install. Works great. The software included, however, is an older version and doesn't work. - but that is only for creating projects.

Works great w/2013 MacBook Pro. MacBooks dropped the disk drive and have yet to need one until now.. Got this for $30 and works like a champ. USB powered so only one cable and good to go. Included cable is USB-A to Mini USB.

Finally found a DW316 8x drive that works great for me. would recommend this to anyone that is looking for one.
