Excellent quality. Easy to use. Many laptops no longer come with optical drives. I wanted one to sit on my desk for those times I needed it. Simply plug in and use. It's a Dell. Why settle for anything less,? Price was also incredible.

My older laptop's DVD drive stopped working. So I needed something to download music with a good app. This item is great. The app is easy to use and music is quick to download from the app to a CD. Not just music but other audio programs. The price was perfect and the fact that it is a Dell product which matched the laptop. Highly recommend this item to all.

The unit is nice and compact and works as expected.

I wanted something simple to run CDs and DVDs since newer computers typically no longer come with these drives installed. This works great and doesn't take up valuable desk space.

Very good addition to my electronics, especially considering they no longer put cd/dvd in desktop computers. This is something I need for reviewing older photo files that I have stored on cds/dvds.

The Dell-DW316 drive is just what we needed. It is very easy to install. The added software is OK but if you just put cd or dvd in it the computer automatically recognizes them and bring the appropriate app to listen/view. The provided app is a little confusing.

Just take out of the box, connect cable and go. Great device

New laptops do not have optical drives but I still have DVDs and CDs that I want to use. I have an older version optical drive with the “old style” USB cable and my newest laptop only has the USB-c. The drive was on sale so I’m now the proud owner of a new optical drive. It works great and eliminates having to buy an adapter that would probably cost about as much as this drive did on sale. I recommend buy it the next time it’s on Deal of the Day.

Bought since my new desktop does not have a CD burner. Use it to listen to music CD's and copy burn music CD's from iTunes. Works as it should and fairly simple to setup.

Superb, i just bought some dvds so i was looking for a more robust and affordable dvd player for my desktop. This is perfect, on a side note, it doesn't play blu ray or 4k dvds

For the price, it perfectly competent and it introduces you to a new software tool which I would have never encountered and is easy to use. It may not be the metal build of the LG slim dosc reader, but it is a fraction of the price for what it's worth.

I bought that driver which works very great on my computer.. its size and slim make me easy to carry everywhere... and the one thing which I like to share about its price... the price are so reasonable. I found the same thing on Walmart and target like $10 more.. so I recommend every one to shop with bestbuy.

I was pleased to find a name-brand perpheral DVD/RW drive at a competitive price - and with extra-quick shipping. I had to get a playlist put together and written to music CDs with a tight deadline. This drive did not disappoint (the cheap LG one had definitely disappointed!) In addition, I can now watch instructional and entertainment DVDs anywhere, despite my laptop having no DVD drive. This product is as dependable and functional as it's brand suggests, is light and portable, and the Best Buy pricing was right on target!

I needed to install software to my Lenovo lap top from a dvd, My lap top did not have one. The Dell-usb dvd drive work get. It was fast, and thin so I can take it with me if I need to with out the bulk. So far so good. I don't use the dvd drive that much, but it nice to have if I need it.

Very easy to use. no drivers needed. Many people complained about the software included on the DVD, but you can use any DVD writing software with it, and there are many alternatives. Perfect solution for multiple PCs, saving money by not having to buy internal ones.

The disk worked perfectly, and what a bargain! I was a bit upset to learn the computers were being made without CD players any more, but with this product, it makes up for it.
