Being a Mac user, my system lacks a DVD drive. I purchased this for everyday use and love the quick, easy plug-n-play set up.

I just recently purchased a Dell all-in-one and the new computer does not have a drive so I purchased this one. Not for work but for pleasure. I have an immense CD collection and the old all-in-one does work well anymore so the Dell External drive is great. Easy to use and was inexpensive.

Had to buy this as I made a mistake and bought my son a laptop a few years ago without a CD player. This makes a big difference when we are traveling. Future reference CD/DVD players are required on all future computer purchases. It also now gives me a way to externally boot up systems when down (allowed me to recover an older laptop that had issues that caused the BIOS to corrupt and was not able to recover with the restore disk at the time.

good product works well easy use . wish store would get finished so you could actually shop in store. I bought other products needed at other retail store where you could really shop. do not know why it is taking all summer to revamp this store, you are losing lots of business!

My Dell external CD/DVD drive is a very convenient device for CD users. I bought my first drive to replace the faulty internal drive on an older laptop. The Dell is used on my newer Acer that doesn't have a CD/DVD drive. It's great for Old Schoolers who still use CDs. It's also good for viewing DVDs and sharing music and files.

This drive works wonderfully. It works on Windows 10 and 11, and is a simple as plugging into the USB port and it just works. The only downside is forgetting how long discs actually take to load after being used to downloading on to an SSD.

My new laptop did not come with a DVD/CD drive. I don't use DVDs or CDs very often, but I purchased this in case I ever needed it. I tried it out and it works flawlessly with both DVDs and CDs. The drive is small enough to keep in my laptop bag and is there when I need it.
I can't ask for anything more.

Easy to install and use. Does exactly what it advertises. Using at work with a Dell laptop that did not have an internal disc drive. This is perfect for occasional use and small enough to travel with (although I do not have the need to do this so I can not speak to the durability during movement).

When I got my recent alienware, without a drive bay I needed something to read the occasional CD devices like quicken or those that still come physical. This meet the need and since dell owns alienware I felt compfortable. its quickly discovered and works without an issue. I'm happy with the product, but have not written any discs with it yet.

Bought this for use with a DELL laptop that didn't come with a CD/DVD drive.
I don't use it often - mainly for installing software purchased on a disc, or burning the occasional CD/DVD. It hasn't given me any problems in 2 years.
Can be a bit noisy when a disc is actually inserted and spins up.
