I originally had an LG external DVD player but the dell option was so much better for my computer. Runs smoothly and is easy to set up. Great price and amazing service with Best Buy. I recommend getting the 2 year plan with Best Buy in case anything happens.

Alot of desktops or laptops don't come with drives. Not surprising, so this little external drive works great! Inexpensive, and does the job without any loud noises or lag. It served a purpose and now will sit quietly on a shelf until it is, once again, called back into service.

Most laptops thesr days don't came with a CD/DVD drive. This fills that need. Easy to use. Many uses of this for both CD's and DVD's. Love being able to transfer old discs to my laptop.

It is lite and compact. The DVD drive runs smooth and quiet. Not much more to say than it performs as expected for a good price.

This USB portable dvd drive works great on my computer without a CD/USB drive.

I can only rate this on my expectations at the moment. I haven't used this yet. I will be purchasing a new laptop and have a few programs and files on CD/DVD. I don't want to limit myself and felt this was the best option to add so I can utilize my present resources and grow from there.

This CD / DVD player was a real inexpensive way to avoid spending big money to get the built-in player on my HP laptop fixed.

I had to upgrade my computer recently and got an all in one. Unfortunately, it didn't have a cd/DVD drive so I purchased this one. It's a Dell so I expected quality and got it. If youvneed an external drive, I suggest this one.

I love this Dell dvd / cd player . It is very good quality.I watch movies for hours.

Shame laptops don't come with drives anymore, but this one makes up for it.

Very light, plastic unit that works well. No installation procedures. If you get a newer laptop (no dvd drive) this is a nice option. Sooner or later you will need to access something and this will save your bacon.

I bought it primarily to be able to read my sisters medical records, and it meets my exact needs. I wish I had made this my first purchase. i attempted to go the least expensive route, and ordered a unit, I won't reveal the brand name via Amazon, and was so disappointed when my laptop was not able to recognize the drive. just a complete waste of time. I have a Dell laptop, and should have just stayed in the 'family'!
