I needed this item to down load a program on my computer and it worked fine and is easy to use. I will probably be using it again since my new computer does not have disc drive to down load programs.

Gets the job done. Nothing more, nothing less. I would buy again.

Amazed at how small this is compared to an older external drive I have. Hardly used any space. Can place it on top of computer where it is out of the way.

Bought it to connect to an Apple MacBook and it works fine for playing DVDs.

This was the perfect thing for me I have a dell laptop that does not have a CD drive and this was on sale and works really well. I was able to rip Cd's to my computer and use it to add software as well all around a good product. it works fast to.

This disk drive is fast and efficient. Putting in a disc and pushing down feels like it might snap the tray in two, but hasn't yet. This is my first external cd drive, so maybe they all feel this way.

Easy to use with plug and play/read. Absolutely as easy as it could possibly be. No proprietary software needed. Plug it in, make sure it's detected and you're ready to go.

Works just as you would expect. Simple to install and operate. It’s a Dell product and so quality is consistent with Dell products. Comes with a very basic software package for video playback and editing.

Set-up of this device was better than expected. As an external component, it works well with the desktop computer.

A year later and this lil power drive is still going strong and amazingly fast!!!

I was worried when my laptop did not have a CD drive. However, it did have everything else I wanted. So I bought the Dell - 8x External USB DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive. It works perfect and I am very pleased with it!
