Nowadays slim laptops do not come with CD or DVD writer but still, some software or peripherals has CD installation required. In that light getting this drive helped me a lot rather than sulking or whining.

Great little DVD rom. I thought the Dell desktop I purchased had one already, but no such luck. Does what it’s supposed to do and I’m happy with that.

It uses one USB port, where my others required two USB port from PC. It is plug and play with Windows 10 and not slow at all. This is a quick fix for Surface user.

I haven't had any problems with it. This external drive is quiet and easy to use. It does what it is supposed to do.

I bought this as an open box special as my laptop had no internal optical drive. I do IT support, and every so often I need to burn something or copy old software off a disc. Couldn't beat the price for my needs.

It is light weight and I can carry it in my laptop bag. The disc drawer hangs every time I open it and have to give it a nudge to open past it but does what I needed it to do. I simply plugged it in and used it.

I was looking for an inexpensive CD player for my computer to load software. This product not only does that but will also allow me to burn backups of my data. Inexpensive and very easy to use. Plug and play.

Old portable gave up and bought this one to replace. A little noisy as is plastic rather than meal exterior. Works fine so far. New computer has no drive and like to listen to books on cd.
