Yes, I know burning DVD is in the past, but I needed one as PC burner was failing. This is very easy to use and not expensive.

Was looking for a way to move all of my old CD's to my laptop that didn't have a CD/DVD drive. This definitely does the work, but the construction seems a little bit dicey. Would still recommend at the low price.

The DVD drive was very easy to use. I plugged it into the USB port and was able to rip some old CDs that I had so that I could place them on a USB for my car. I had been meaning to do this for awhile but I never really got around to it and the Dell that I have doesn't have a CD drive so this one worked out perfect to play and rip. I assume I could burn as well, but like I previously, mentioned, my car doesn't have a CD player.

A lot of options. Very comfortable to carry and use. Tested all options. Works good. Created audio tracks, all of them sound great

It does it's job just like i need it too. No problems at all.

Nice product. I am happy with my new external DVD drive and my experience shopping at Bestbuy. Makes a little noise which can be annoying sometimes.

Easy install; just plug in and play. Was unable to install 32-bit software on a new 64-bit machine, but to no fault of this little reader/writer.

If you need a physical drive, since very few laptops have them, here you go. It’s plug and play and works fine.

Happy with purchase. My local Best Buy had the drive-in start at a great price. My computer did not come with a DVD drive

Easy USB plug & play; performs just fine. Eject button is a little difficult. Came with no instructions of any kind.

Nice CD-DVD writer. It is a bit noisy though but ejects fast and loads easy. No issues as of yet. Most people should be happy with this if you want a more basic CD RW

Great DVD player. I bought this item as a part of the devices to upgrade my son's gaming system. He loves it.

My 13 year old son needed an external drive, so he did some research and decided on the the Dell 8x External USB DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive, which he was able to set up and use with no problem.

It works as advertised and transfers data off of optical disks. I don't recommend it for watching movies as it's unbelievably loud when it spins up.

Works as expected. Glad to have access to my old pictures saved on CD's.
