    Because of upgrades to my computer, I could no longer use the internal CD drive so this external drive was recommended to me by the geek squad. The external drive works well, but I didn't get it an excellent rating because the plug-in cord that came with it is just long enough for the CD drive to rest on the same table as the computer, so in other words the manufacturer was cutting it cheap on the plug-in cord
