    Transferring all my CD's into I-Tunes on my new laptop (that does not have a dive). Worked for what I needed it to do. The drive gets a little touchy at times-didn't want to work-then after several attempts it would work again. Very light weight & almost "flimsy" feeling, but I was able to transfer over 700 CD's so can't complain about the end result. All-in-all it did what I needed it to do with only mild glitches.

    With everything being digital online or in the cloud there isn't too much use for dvd writers/players but purchased it in case I need to use a dvd. I tested this with some blank dvd's and the writing speed is good.
