    The dvd rw/cd rw works fine. I used it to reinstall Microsoft office and Microsoft access on my laptop.

    I bought this drive to rip all my wife's CD's and place her music on a flash drive. Her car has a USB where she can listen to music on her flash drive. Straight out of the box, I ripped over 50 CD's - worked great! And, with the USB 3.0 cord it transfers fast. You'll not be dissappointed.
