    This external drive is an add on for my new 2 in 1 laptop. While I have always had a built in optical reader the new one doesn’t have one. So I bought this. It’s really too early to report on any possible downside, this was a great deal at Best Buy and I expect no problems

    You need to disable safe mode in windows 11 home. That may be an issue with some people

    In the process of decluttering some rooms, we changed some of the electronics in the house. This laptop is replacing one that was at least 6 years old that had seen better days. I am very pleased with the one we purchased. It is sufficient for everything that I need one for.

    I purchased this dvd+rw/cd-rw drive for use with an iMac. It seemed it was going to work, but failed to read or write cd's/dvd's. After multiple attempts and researching Dell online support, I returned the item.
