    Only used it once. Set up was very simple. Worked as expected. Cord is thick so a little awkward, but maybe thickness is needed or sturdier? Bought because on sale and didn't notice it is usb2. Want it to dupe family dvds and I suspect usb2 will be slow..but that's on me, not a product defect

    It works well. Ripping old cds is necessary at times. I do not see any laptops with drives available. The quality of the build is definitely for occasional use, and that is all I needed it for.

    My internal Toshiba laptop drive died and I wanted a quick fix to load some software. I connected the drive via USB and my system automatically recognized it. Got the software installed with no issues!
