DVD burner/player

The other one was a different brand and I could not get it to be compatible with my computer. So far this one has worked one time for me. I'm not sure if it is me or the computer

Product lacked software to play CD DVD

The hardware seems fine, but I have to go hunt for a way to play CDs and DVDs. Your tech support recommended the drive and should have warned me.

However, the software is not the best. Seems as tho one can not do everything that you should be able to with this drive.

DELL USB DVD drive

Software that came with drive would not load with Windows 11. Spent 2 1/2 hours on line support with Geek Squad and they could not get it to work.

We want to thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your Dell USB Slim DVD/RW Drive. We are sorry to hear that you are having an issue installing the software for your device. Below are steps to help resolve your issue.
1. Insert Dell Drivers and Utilities CD/DVD and click next
2. Select Run autoRcd.exe when AutoPlay appears (see Figure 1)
3. Select Driver you need to install.
4. Click on Extract (see Figure 2)
5. Click continue when extract pop up appears (see Figure 3).
6. Select the folder you want to install(normally it goes to default in C:\Dell\, see sample Figure 4)
7. If the folder does not exist select Yes.
8. Wait for extract to finish
NOTE: InstallShield Wizard may vary depending on drivers being installed
9. When prompted that "All Files were successfully unzipped" select OK
10. Follow InstallSHield Wizard for the driver. (see Figure 5)
11. Confirm if the drivers are installed by checking device manager.

Needs Powered hub
