Received this in good condition and looked like good quality, however, the CD drawer would not stay closed. I did not appear that anything was broken so had to return and received a full refund.

I was very hopeful that this Dell DVD player would be as outstanding as my Dell Inspiron 15 7000 laptap is, especially since the first external DVD player I purchased (Ultra Slim USB 3.0) proved to be defective and had to be returned. Sadly, the Dell DW316 External USB Slim DVD had the same problem -- a scratching noise every 1.2 seconds both when playing CD's and DVD's and on the copies of CD's that I burned. I wonder if they are manufactured by the same Chinese company? I have returned this item and will look for another external DVD unit .

nice item but there there is no way to adjust the volume. neither by computer or device. had vol @ 100% and could barely here the movie. i will be taking it back for a replacement or another item. rather disappointed. should have checked before i got it. as always, 20/20 hindsight. not recommended by me!!

THIS IS SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY! It's so flimsy! It's like a kids' toy. It doesn't even work! It came with a media DVD, which does not play, I was "hopeful that it would work on my other USB ports, but, to no avail, so, I have had so much trust with best buy, that I had thrown the box cover, and now I have no option but, but place it into my donation box :(

I had to return this product because it would not except the disks that I had and wanted to load onto my computer it said my disks were too old I had just to be able to edit photographs which is what I wanted to be able to use and I had another one called create a card but neither one are able to be used with this computer and this device did not work for me so I returned it
