I did not appear that anything was broken so had to return and received a full refund.

A cheap, functional CD Drive of middling quality

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very hopeful that this Dell DVD player would be as outstanding as my Dell Inspiron 15 7000 laptap is, especially since the first external DVD player I purchased (Ultra Slim USB 3.0) proved to be defective and had to be returned. Sadly, the Dell DW316 External USB Slim DVD had the same problem -- a scratching noise every 1.2 seconds both when playing CD's and DVD's and on the copies of CD's that I burned. I wonder if they are manufactured by the same Chinese company? I have returned this item and will look for another external DVD unit .

It came with a media DVD, which does not play, I was "hopeful that it would work on my other USB ports, but, to no avail, so, I have had so much trust with best buy, that I had thrown the box cover, and now I have no option but, but place it into my donation box :(

I had to return this product because it would not
