My cheap little Origbelie, which had 3 usb ports so I could piggy-back other devices, finally gave up the ghost. This new drive doesn't have any extra ports. Useless, as my PC has only a few USB slots and won't accept a USB multi-hub (which also makes the PC relatively useless, but the Origbelie gave me what I needed to make it work). This Dell DVD drive is useless to me.

I got it as it was recommended by the GeekSquad member, and he uses it. I was going to get a more expensive one. I should have gone with the more expensive and highly reviewed one. This product takes too long. I operate a business and routinely get CDs with evidence (or data) to be reviewed. Unfortunately some of the people I need the material from use CDs still. It would have been better if they provided a link or USB to extract the files. Nonetheless, it's on par with what one would pay for, but I wouldn't recommend purchasing it if you're trying to extract files. It is slow, and they advertise quietness, but it's rather loud; I can hear it "ticking away."

The app allows you to play DVD's but not burn store bought CD's to Chromebook.
