A good, but not great laptop.

Good Basic Laptop with decent integrated graphics. I run linux on all my machines so the first thing I did was wipe windows 10S from the m.2 drive and install linux. The good: ryzen 3450u cpu sips power when not pushed hard 1080p display lightweight good battery life m.2 AND sata drive options plays back all common video files (h.264,h.265,vc-1,vp9,etc..) both 8 and 10 bit up to 4k in mpv with no frame drop The not-so-good: CPU/GPU cooler fan really has to run hard when pushed to the limit no backlit keyboard uefi bios is pretty limited only 10/100M ethernet but this is a budget laptop - could be solved by a usb3 ethernet adapter but who needs to move files that large on a laptop? asynchronous memory sticks, why do laptop makers insist on using one large and one small memory stick? I upgraded to 2 8gb sticks The Bad: Atheros wifi that came with laptop is a cheap adapter and did not work well for me OOTB with linux. Luckily for me i had a spare intel 3168ngw and i switched it in and it worked with ZERO effort! The Big Picture: Its not perfect but for what I use it for which is mostly on the go productivity and content consumption it works well.

I purchased the laptop after my HP Envy screen cracked after taking a drop during travel. I did not want to spend another 1k for the same model. The Dell had solid reviews and given their reputation I gave them a shot. The laptop is fast and performs perfectly for my day to day functions. If your looking for great value this laptop is a great choice!

I bought the Dell inspiration 15 3000 and I absolutely love it, much faster than my old computer. With a Terrabite hard drive I have plenty of storage space. Graphics are a great plus too with fantastic resolution.

Average quality, pretty middle-of-the-road. I used it for playing the Sims, taking an online college course, and writing emails. The speed was just OK, display was OK. I take good care of my laptops and after just two years my charging port broke so I had to very carefully adjust how I placed my charger in the port for it to even charge. The screen also scratches very easily. I would not buy this laptop again.

Great Laptop, Almost Perfect, Bad Keyboard Layout

awesome Laptop, Great deal, but the keyboard is a little bad. I brought this laptop because my old Lenovo screen cracked. This is my first dell and all I can say is this model of laptop is a awesome deal. 12gb or ram with a ssd and 1tb drive without a unless dvd drive. The screen is huge, clear and great on the eyes. The battery life is unbelieable coming from my previous laptop. 4-5 hour on battery is easy. turn off the wifi and you can get 7 hours. The only downside is the keyboard. in an attempt to save space they reduce the keyboard and put keys in wierd place. they even give you a dedicated key for the calc but took away the home button. You also have to hold the function key to access some common buttons.

This laptop has served me well during covid & working from home - was purchased just for business work & logging into the network thru secure software from my employer. Was easy to set up with their system - completely recommended for business purposes - using dual screens - second screen was plug & play & set up without issue - crisp clean desktop graphics

Affordable computer but has a few issues: The power supply pin is weak and will become unreliable in under a year. Battery life is ok, but not great. Becomes glitchy when connected to docking station. Wish it had another HDMI port to support dual monitors.

Got two of these for my kids to have their own computers for online schooling. Was able to set up parent controls really easily, and they can navigate the computers well on their own. I have a 6yr old and a 8 year old kid. The computers are made of a sturdy plastic, are all black, and have a separate number pad which is great for math homework. We bought colorful skin decals for each laptop to make it more custom for each kiddo. I bought an extra to use for the inside of the computer too, to make sticky finger messes easier to clean. We also got a silicone cover for the keyboard for that same reason. Overall we are very satisfied with the laptops.

The laptop itself is functional, but the screen brightness is too low, even on max. Of course, I checked the settings, battery, etc, no it can not be made any brighter. If compared with my other laptops side by side, it is very noticeably darker - see pic attached (I also have Lenovo with the same size/resolution, and an HP with bigger screen and lower resolution). The screen resolution played a big role in my decision to purchase this, so I would never think the brightness would be an issue, but now I have to go through the motions to return it, like I don't have better things to do. It was also intended as a present for my Dad's 80th BDay, and now I am left without a present, very frustrating. The quality of all goods being sold on Best Buy, Amazon, etc, and especially electronics, has deteriorated so much in the past few years, I have to return a lot of merchandise constantly. And they all had great reviews. Can you trust/use them anymore - what is going on?!

I am so not happy. The screen quality is a big NO for me. How does my, more than 10 year old, Dell laptop have better screen resolution/screen quality, whatever you call it, than my new Dell laptop? How? I have uploaded two photos to show what I am talking about. That's the best photo I can provide using this camera. The first image is from my new laptop. In it the the lady in the video comes a yellowish golden color. That is not how her skin color looks. The second image from my old laptop (also dell) shows her actual color. Also the screen resolution/quality is not as grainy or blurry as on the new laptop. I tried to take pictures and videos of that, but this camera can not capture that. So do yourself a favor if screen quality is important to you, do NOT buy this laptop.

I will start by saying I got this on sale for $520. This laptop comes with Windows S. You can do a free upgrade in the windows store and then you will be able to install any program. After doing this I ran a benchmark. One thing to note is that you don't get all 12gb of RAM. You get around 9.7gb usable, as some of it is going to the dedicated graphics. The results of the benchmark we're pretty good for the price of the laptop. The CPU and hard drive have really good speeds. The memory is a little on the slow side, but you probably won't notice it much. I have seen a review saying the screen was bad and had a yellow tint, but I have had no issues with this personally (make sure your drivers are updated). I had an issue with the sound, where it would play normally for a few seconds then kind of lag out for a second, I was able to fix this by doing updates. Besides that the sound is what you would expect for a laptop. The speakers are on the bottom of the laptop so it can get a bit muffled. I have not noticed any heat issues even with having it on my lap for over an hour at a time. Depending on what you are running on it battery life is around 3 and a half hours. Overall I think this laptop is pretty good for the price. The extra SATA HDD was a must for me, you might be able to find a better deal without one if you don't need it.

Very please with the speed and usability of this laptop. I purchased it for an employee, but I wish I had kept it myself. The main hard drive is very fast and is a type of M.2. There is amply HDD space which tops out at about 1 TB. This is more than you would need for the average person. Touch screen works flawlessly. I was ver pleased with the performance and low price.

Ridiculous value for the price. We picked this up for my wife’s home office. We really weren’t expecting much for less than than $500 dollars (sale price), but we were pleasantly surprised. Easy setup, incredibly fast, and Hard-drive memory to spare. The added SSD memory is a nice addition as well, though it is a bit minimal. The touchscreen is responsive and accurate and though the screen doesn’t open quite as wide as some competitors, for the price, you really can’t beat this machine. Went back to by a second for me and it was $250 more than we paid. I’ll wait for another sale and grab a second one. Very good purchase!

Better than average on performance. The biggest drawback is the battery life (2.5 hours). At first, i thought something was wrong. Truthfully, i did not check the battery life, I just assumed it was like all other laptops 7 plus hours, i was wrong. I went bavk to the specifications for this laptop and found it buried. After consultation with a website and some math, the battery power does work out to be correct. Now, would this have change my prospective of this product? No, i would purchase again. The prices and performance outweigh the negative of the batter life. There is a work around, I will be looking for a external battery power source that will not only keep my laptop going for hours, but charge several devices like my phone.

I had my eye on this laptop for about a month and I noticed it was on sale for $469, $150 off! I immediately bought it and it arrived yesterday. Now its back up to $619. I got it for my mom and she is extremely happy. I wish I could have purchased 2 of them. Fast AMD processor, lots of RAM, and the 256gb SSD sold me...plus the $150 off. The screen is crisp, clear and beautiful. Keyboard is a little tight but thats normal for a slim laptop. If it only had a back-lit Keyboard. Otherwise, awesome laptop.

The system is fast enough for me to use for basic home computing and it is definitely built better than my wife's Dell i3 Inspiron (2 yrs old). Her keyboard and touchpad are horrendous. So far I have left it in Windows S-mode but due to the lack of apps that I plan to use, I will have to take it out at some point and take my chances downloading utilities on the internet. One note: when I first started the computer up, the touchscreen did not seem to function. I went ahead and set everything up in Windows and when I rebooted later, the touchscreen suddenly activated and started functioning. I did not specifically change anything in the settings so I don't know what fixed the issue. It now works fine, so no need to return or exchange. Only features that I miss are a backlit keyboard and since I am old school, a DVD drive (I do have an external DVD drive but still miss the internal).

The light on the screen is great, the camera and speed is great for what I use it for when I use it, especially for the price. I love that it's a touch screen as well. The only thing I'm not too sure on yet is the battery life, I'll have to use it a little longer to see how it goes. But overall, DEFINITELY worth the price!
