For me it came down to price. After black Friday the price came down to $650 and then was $599 for a week or so. At that price it was definitely worth the purchase. I wanted something that was quick enough for my dad, big enough to be easily visible and with enough USB ports. And this fit the bill. Its built well, starts up quick, great display, isn't flimsy and looks nice. But the weight could be 0.5 lbs lighter. At 3.5 lbs, this is probably one of the heavier ones out there. Battery life was decent, used it for a few hours on battery saver mode. I didn't expect to get 10 hours like MacBook or Surface, so it wasn't a determining factor for me. Right now, the price is back up to $800, so I would recommend waiting to see if it drops. Additionally, I picked this over the Lenovo Yoga that was going on sale at the same time. Based on research, it seemed sturdier, came with a 110-240V adaptor....so was an easy decision to make.

Excellent small laptop

This small laptop is fast! I think it is due to the SSD drive, as well as a decent processor. Doing the things I normally do, this small laptop seems faster than my desktop PC which is fairly new and has rather impressive specs. The only thing I'd like to see improved is the sound processor, which isn't very good compared to the one in my ASUS tablet. So when I want to stream music to my Bluetooth speakers, I don't choose this laptop. Otherwise, it has definitely exceeded my expectations in all areas.

I had to kind of make a quick purchase since I was starting classes. So I asked quick, hard questions to sales rep. Pretty sure I got what I want, haven't had a chance yet to use all its features, but I will share some important to me. Laptop is quick. Internet pages load quick, I can have multiple tabs open and work quickly back and forth between pages. I transport it daily. No problems. Touch screen is very nice and wipes down nicely. I got the Office 365 with it. Love that too.

I have not owned a laptop in over 5 years and I wanted to make sure I got a kick*** laptop. I went in with intention of purchasing a different laptop but i am glad I purchased my Dell. I love the metal body that it has. It is very lightweight and very slim. I have not had any issues when running various programs at once. The computer starts up real quick. I love the facial recognition software. The graphics are stellar and the sound quality is awesome. Buy this laptop now!

I have had my Dell - Inspiron 2-in-1 13.3 Touch-Screen Laptop for two months and its performance has been great, especially for the price. I have used it as a laptop, tablet and also a "desktop". The touch screen it a nice feature and makes navigating some screens much quicker than using a mouse or the keyboard. Applications launch quickly and the visual security system works well unless you are in a low light situation. In low light I recommend you type in the password.

I bought this computer after my 5 year old 15.5" laptop had a hard drive failure. I am in graduate school and wanted something lighter to carry around, and have now had this computer for almost two months. I have not had any major issues with it so far, and the following list of pros and cons only compares this laptop with my old one (the only other one I have ever had).
Pros:
-Much lighter/easier to carry around than my old computer
-Holds a charge longer (about 4-6 hours of continuous use) than my old laptop (about 15 minutes)
-boots up very quickly (about 10 seconds)
-The freedom to use tablet mode is nice (I have once and it worked fine)
Cons:
-The charging cord is shorter (about 8 feet?) than my old cord, so I am not able to have it charging while in my bed (because of how my room must be laid out)
-The power button is in a poor location in my opinion (on the side/front), so I have accidentally turned it off while trying to move it multiple times
-The touchpad is located a little left of center, so I occasionally touch it while typing. This makes letters/words appear wherever I last put the cursor, which is aggravating.
-There was one instance where the audio suddenly stopped working. I had to reset my laptop, but it worked fine afterward.
Neutral:
-Touchscreens are normally more reflective and will lead to more glare. I have not had too much of a problem with this since I usually do not notice glare, but I can easily see reflections on dark screens if I look for them
-I eat with my laptop open occasionally. Crumbs are able to work their way into the cracks of the keyboard and get under the buttons. I would imagine this isn't good, but it also happened with my last computer and it worked for quite a while.
Caveats:
-I have not yet used Skype/WebEx to gauge the camera
-I don't watch movies on my laptop so I do not know how long the charge will last while playing movies

Purchased the Dell - Inspiron 2-in-1 13.3 Touch-screen Laptop and am very pleased with my purchase. I have a very similar HP laptop that is provided my employer to compare and I like the Dell so much better. Primarily because the HP locks up on me all the time and I have not had this issue with the Dell. My HP fan is also quite loud. The Dell feels more rugged to me, I like the texture of the mouse pad, and the keys are responsive/easy to type. The Dell was more expensive than other similar spec lap tops but it appears to have been worth the extra money so far.
