Runs flawlessly

This PC is everything that I wanted. I bought this PC to run a lot of programs at once and still run smooth. I'll have spotify, ableton, and google chrome with 10+ tabs open and it still runs flawlessly. I can play witcher3 at maximum graphics setting (which is impressive.) with little to no input lag. It works great for people who multitask.
One thing that is worth mentioning is the C: drive and the D: drive. The default storage drive for some reason is the C: SSD drive. It only has 250Gb of space. I ran out of space after downloading a few large games. I would recommend changing your default storage drive to D: that is the drive that has your 2Tb of storage space.

Started working more with 4k video. My old PC couldn't handle it. Did some research and for the first time decided to buy such expensive machine. But I am very happy. Works perfect with all adobe software, rendering of 4k video is fast. Everything moves fast. Just such high quality from this machine. And I know it will be a powerful tool for at least the next 5 years.

Very Good System for the Price

For $ 1,299 (in Dec 2017) you can't really get much more computer than this. They tag this as a Gaming system, but I got it because I wanted a cheaper Workstation computer solution. If you're wanting a gaming system, to be honest I don't think this configuration is for you.
The Good:
- AMD Ryzen 1700X is great for a Workstation computer (supposedly not as great for gaming), and very reasonably priced. Very good value-for-dollar.
- Lots of RAM, but more important it's 2x16 (meaning dual-channel) -- this is one of the reasons I didn't get the other configuration (1800X with 16GB RAM), because it was 1x16.
- SSD Drive makes rebooting system, and installing/launching apps very fast. 2TB secondary drive is great if you're a developer of some sort.
- Decent Video card -- the RX580 isn't a high-end card but it's no slouch either. Unless you're an avid gamer, this will suit you fine. It has 1 HDMI and 3 Display Ports -- I am currently running 3 monitors with it (all through the Display Ports).
- I've thrown Adobe CC software, some Android app developer software, and some Virtual Machines at it, and it hasn't skipped a beat. I haven't played any games on it but if I ever do, I'll update the review.
The Not So Good:
- Power Supply is 460W. For general purposes this is fine. But if you ever plan on upgrading other parts in the future, you may find you need a better Power Supply.
- No Liquid Cooling. Again, at $1,299 this is a lot of computer... but the lack of Liquid Cooling means if you really tax your system, the fans will turn on -- and they aren't quiet.
- Comes with an HDMI cable instead of Display Port. Why is this a negative... well, because I believe in order to use FreeSync at 75Hz, it needs to be connected via Display Port. So it would've been nice if they included a DP cable instead of HDMI (or maybe even one of each!).
- Maybe this is nitpicking, but the keyboard and mouse feel VERY cheap, plus they are both wired. I'm guessing this is just their usual stock peripherals, but for $1,299 you'd think they might throw something just a little nicer in there. They work fine, nonetheless.
- A bit of bloatware on it. It comes with McAfee for a year free -- but I hate McAfee, so I removed it. There's also a few other unnecessary programs, but they're easy enough to remove.
tldr;
Very good system for the price if you're looking for a decent Workstation computer without having to spend nearly $2K for it. Probably not the best setup for gaming, and they do skimp on a couple items, but for designers, developers, professionals... you'd be hard pressed to find a better configuration at a cheaper price.

This computer has a quick startup, has a adequate supply of usb 3 as well as front inputs,I would like to have seen a blue ray drive,as well as few more usb inputs,I would like to have seen a startup button on side rather then on top,if you put a shelf above it makes it hard to get at button.Otherwise this is a solid computer, quiet and quick

Powerful Computer

This computer is very capable. It runs the most difficult electronics simulations effortlessly. Multiple applications can run simultaneously without slowing down. I'm not a fan of Windows 10 but it works and I'm getting used to it. The only down side is the fans. They are generally very quiet but speed up occasionally when the computer is stressed. The digital power needs to be dissipated and the fans help keep the silicon cool.

Okay computer but overpriced

No real problems but seems overpriced for what you get. Even with an ssd drive boot time is over 1 minute. WiFi occasionally drops and the optical disk drive is painfully slow and quite flimsy. A good computer that could be better.

Hello ColT,
Thanks for your feedback on your new Dell desktop. We'd recommend running the Windows Performance Troubleshooter to see if there are ways that your computer can run faster for you:
1. Close all open windows. 2. Press the Windows logo key + X key on the keyboard. 3. Click Control Panel. 4. Click System and Security. 5. Under Security and Maintenance, select Troubleshoot common problems. 6. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks. 7. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts to complete the process. 8. Restart the PC.
You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2tSulGV. We'd also recommend that you limit the number of programs that launch at startup by following these steps:
1. Close all open windows. 2. Press CTRL + Shift + ESC key together on the keyboard. 3. In the Task Manager window, click Startup tab. 4. Select the program or application that you want to disable from loading during startup. 5. Right-click and select Disable. 6. Repeat Step 4 & 5 for all the programs or applications that you want to disable from loading during startup. 7. Restart your PC.
We hope these tips help with your computer's performance.
Best, Bryan 1-800-624-9896

This computer runs very well and is pretty quiet (until you are running 5 programs at once) but does not get loud. You can just hear the fan. It is very quick. The blue is pretty cool too.

I am the person who has literally 10-20 tabs open in my browser and sometimes multiple browsers/windows while at the same time am running Spotify, Excel, Word, iTunes and a few other programs at all times. This has been the perfect computer for me so far, I even bought a second one, one for my work office and one for my home office!

I got this mainly for some video editing and maybe some gaming. This was a great purchase. The computer flies through video editing smoothly. Render times are amazing. I have played some video games and it is nice to put all the video settings at the highest setting and have it all run smoothly and look great. Not a big fan of the blue lights, but easy enough to turn off. Love this PC.

This machine's specs clearly state it comes with an HDMI port but I just received it and there is no HDMI port and the instructions label this port 'optional'. This is completely counter to how this machine is advertised by Best Buy and what I bought. I'm not very happy and now have to figure out how to best connect my screen that has HDMI and VGA to this machine which does not support either.
