    The 1366x768 display kills it.

This is a business-grade laptop and had potential to be a decent choice for general because of that, but I cannot recommend it because it uses 1366x768 TN display in a price range where it's more than easy to find something with a much better display. The 1366x768 TN display doesn't let you fit much onscreen, makes everything onscreen rather large, and has very poor viewing angles + contrast + colors. It's literally just about the worst display you can find in a laptop in this price range. Other laptops, including business-grade ones, are available with 1920x1080 IPS display that let you fit more onscreen and have IMMENSELY better picture quality, and that kind of a difference between displays tends to affect how nice a computer is to use a whole lot more than the differences between most other specs. $500 laptops are available nowadays with 15.6" 1920x1080 IPS displays, and there's no excuse for this laptop not to include one. Either look for a Latitude model with the 1920x1080 IPS display, or buy from a different product line entirely.
