Got this dock on sale for $99.99. Overall, I feel that this is one of the best laptop docking station out there for the money and functions that it offers. Glad to see that Best Buy carried this docking station. Pros 1) it has a small footprint with the major connections at the rear of the unit being 3 1/2" wide 2) has a 2 1/2 foot attached usb-c cabled to the unit. 3) cell phone charger 4) 130w charger to charge a laptop and accessories. With the cheaper docking stations, you will need to purchase at least a 100w charger separately. The charger has a nice blue ring that glows so you know that the charger is working. 5) made by Dell, a household name Cons 1) will need to download a firmware update. I was able to connect my Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga and was able to use the Dell docking after the firmware update. 2) has a display port connection. Felt that this could (should) have been a 2nd HDMI connection. I purchased a display port to HDMI cable from Amazon ($10) to connect to the docking station. 3) only two extended displays. 4) the usb-c on the side does not support video dispaly Overall, I feel that this unit is a great investment as far as a docking station. I was 1st introduce to this unit at work. I received a newer Dell laptop for work and was given this as a docking station. I like it so much that I purchased one for my wife to use at her job. I was concerned that she had a Levono laptop and this a Dell docking station, they would not work together. After the firmware update, it worked. I did not test it before the firmware update. I am not computer techy, but I think that the firmware is on the docking station and the driver is on the computer. So with the update is on the docking station, she was able to use her laptop with this docking station. It comes in a standard brown box. I think it is more advertised to businesses than to the home consumer. Or maybe to keep cost down... Most Dell home consumer products are in a white glossy box... To me, to make this unit better: 1) Replace the display port connection with a 2nd HDMI connection. 2) more usb connections in the rear. Include 4 ubc-a or 3 usb-a and 1 usb-c instead of 2 in the rear. This would help give it a clearer look with all the connections in the rear. Of couse, the rear may need to be taller or wider
