    OLED display for the win

This is probably one of the best thin/light PCs on the market today. The OLED display is truly stunning and worth the money; however, it doesn't come without sacrificing battery life. In fact, the battery life on this laptop is not great (3 hrs in high performance); you should expect to be plugged in often. The black finish looks and feels very premium.

Very slim, yet relatively sturdy laptop. Very beautiful screen and overall design, however if you prefer larger screen sizes, I'd go for something bigger. If you don't mind the 13.4" display, then this laptop is an excellent choice. 32 gigs of ram and 1TB SSD is pretty amazing.

This little monster is awesome. Its super powerful and has an amzing display! The two negatoves that come to kind are 1. Its a 60hz display and 2. The battery life isn’t the greatest because it’s and OLED display. I get about 6 hours tops. One other minor annoyance is that it runs warm even for the most basic tasks and can get super hot when under load.

Love this computer! Maybe the best small light laptop ever made (yeah, better than Apples' Pro or Air!)... but very unstable in initial set up. I had to wipe and start over 3 times when 1) curser wouldn't work, then (2) sound wouldn't work, then (3) printer recognition wouldn't work. That's a pain! Too bad. I wouldn't recommend unless these issues were resolved BEFORE trying to set it up. But it's such a beautiful machine!

Reliable and blazing fast micro-laptop. I bought this unit for the lightweight small footprint, processing speed and outstanding screen resolution. I am very pleased and the battery lasts slightly over six hours when writing, calculating and streaming movies.

It was alright, honestly the laptop itself was super powerful and could handle the programs and processing power, but had issues with the track pad not always registering my clicks and battery would drain within an error if your running anything strenuous.

Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
      c) Turn the Battery Saver On or Off.
      d) Additional settings are available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.

THE EXCELLENT DELL XPS 13 range has had the same look for several years now. A shakeup was most definitely in order. To align with Intel’s new 12th generation P and U series chips—with the former honed for more demanding productivity users, and the latter focused on thin and light designs—Dell split the lineup in two. There was the eccentric XPS 13 Plus (7/10, WIRED Recommends) and a redesigned XPS 13. The P-series-powered XPS 13 Plus was successful in making potentially gimmicky innovations an actual step forward, but its performance flattered to deceive. For the U-series XPS 13, the new look has added a splash of color—with Sky and Umber options. Gone is the signature carbon fiber, and elsewhere there are more key changes—not all for the better.

This laptop was a good little tool, but it lacked in battery life and overall durability. There were moments where the tablet felt very hot to the touch. I would recommend it at an ideal price, but at $1,600 is not a good deal at all.

I don’t normally leave reviews but I definitely love this laptop. I have a general rule when it comes to laptops and that is to always buy a Dell. I have had many different brands over the years and I have always been very happy with the Dell brand. Whenever the budget allows I opt for the XPS model because the are professional quality machines. They have upgraded hardware and are more durable than the inspron models. Although I have had good luck with those as well compared to other brands they definitely hold up better. This XPS I bought comes loaded with about everything you could possibly need or want in a laptop. The only features that it lacks are a regular USB port and it does not fold flat. It does come with an adapter to use a regular usb but it’s a small loose part that’s going to eventually get lost. Regarding the fold flat screen that’s nothing important to me and I have not used them in the past. Otherwise this machine flys has plenty of Ram a large drive and is extremely quite! Hopefully I get the same long term use that I have become accustomed to with Dell. They always stand behind their products and the components are usually easy to find and replace. As with any tool though the inconvenience of having a tool down is a pain and unproductive! If your in the market and this machine fits your budget you v Can’t go wrong. It’s worth every dollar and will compete with other laptops that cost significantly more money!

This laptop is amazing! The trackpad-less design of the palm rest area is very futuristic, and is has haptic feedback, which really reminds me of a MacBook trackpad. The touch bar is great, with the small exception of wishing there were physical Escape and Delete keys. The key dishes in the zero-lattice keyboard are perfect and are really easy to get used to typing on, almost as if you feel you've been using the keyboard for years. The touch screen is perfect and the CNC'd Aluminum chassis just completes the small XPS vibe. 100% recommend this to small form factore laptop lovers!

I really do love this laptop, it's slim, it's fast, it's beautiful. An absolute powerhouse that unfortunately has some quirks. First problem is the touchpad, it mostly works but when it doesn't it's incredibly frustrating. I would rather it have an actual mechanical trackpad and be a little less pretty. This is reinventing the wheel for no reason other than look. This also goes for the function keys. As a programmer, not having easy reliable access to the function keys is a pain. The other problem that is significantly less important is that it's a fingerprint magnet. But it is so fast and with such a beautiful screen I don't mind those flaws. We'll see after a year if I still feel that way.
