This a great laptop. Beautiful display.Fast. Portable and looks great

Excellent screen, good battery life. Attractive design compared to most competitor units I've seen. As with most laptop purchases these days, they include a bloatware which can be difficult to remove entirely.

I have to drop one star for Dell's quality control. I purchased two of these and one of them had some pretty serious backlight bleeding. I had to get a replacement for that one but the replacement looked great. The laptop is very fast and has no issues with all of the multitasking I do for work. I have not experienced any of the overheating issues that I read about online. The fans are not as loud as people made them out to be either. Plus they only spin up when I am running virtual machines and several other programs all at once. The 4k display is beautiful. I have not used the touchscreen much, but the times I have it has worked great. I've been using it daily for several weeks now and I am very satisfied with the purchase.

What I loved about this laptop is 1: Design 2: Easy to use 3: Fast bootup shutdown 4: Touch screen 5: 4k screen 6: Baterry is also fine only get down faster during 4K screen which is expected 7: No fan sound so far after using it for 6 months 8: Software loads faster 9: Games load uptime is also less This has windows 10 but you need to buy Microsoft Office and anti-virus.

I bought this laptop as an upgrade for an under-powered HP convertible that I used basically for Web, e-mail, video streaming. I had hoped (still do!) to use this Dell XPS 15 9570 for video processing , but haven't gotten around to doing that in the past couple of months that I've owned this new machine. I enjoy the quality of the screen, but had to do some work- around to utilize it with an older (non-subscription) version of Adobe photoshop (cs6). NOT the computer's fault (computer screen ultra high resolution, not supported by older version of photoshop). One thing that does bug me about this machine is how it "wakes up" from putting it down. The old HP machine came back to life instantaneously, This thing requires a push & hold for 9 seconds (yep, I counted); then sometimes a repeat. OK, that's not that big of a thing & I can probably figure out how to streamline, but it's still a "thing". Also, DELL "pops" up windows that says "this machine has been updated," but doesn't tell you what it did, what's been updated. It also comes with WIN 10 "HOME" version, that I managed to update to "PRO" by virtue of having a valid licenses to an old copy of WIN 7 lying about-- search on line if you have the same situation. I don't game (future goal is video rendering, processing), but have stress-tested machine to get the fans going (otherwise it stays quiet). Even with fans flying, it's a quiet machine. So far, machine is over-kill for what I've been using it for. The prior HP laptop at 1/4th price was suitable for what I find myself doing. However, this purchase is part of a long-term investment into film making

In short the laptop is amazing. It's super fast, amazing 4k display, beautiful design, awesome battery life, compact, and just an all around beast. The bad part is that it was defective. I only turned it on about 12 times and out of those 12 times I got the blue screen of death 4 times which reboooted laptop. I've been working with electronics for a good part of my life so I know these things happen. That's why I still gave it 5 stars, you know. I was able to see the awesome potential this XPS has regardless of the defect. I'm a realist and I know defects happen. Anyway, I ordered a replacement so I'm crossing my fingers that this one will work fine. PS. Returning the broken laptop to Best Buy was super easy. So yeah, thanks Best Buy.

In my line of work I needed a laptop that could download quickly, could handle the work software I use (architectural) and was easier to transport. I found it all in this purchase. I researched many different brands and models and am very satisfied with this purchase. I was shocked just how fast it really is and how beautiful and crisp photos and large image downloads show on this device.

Coming from a 17in HP ENVY this PC is slim, sharp, fast and light! The 4K video screen is crisp bright and vibrant. The last PC game I played was Kings Quest, yes that's a long time ago. Today's games are visually awesome and need a GPU that can generate fluid video and sound. This PC is equipped with a NVIDIA GPU that can handle today's games. Just be sure to get a decent cooling pad. Oh yeah and it works great for business as well... .

It's a nice laptop. Fast, modern and beautiful video quality. However, the touchpad is not good at all! I have an old Dell Latitude with a smaller touchpad which works much much better. I don't know if it's because it's new and doesn't have a good "grip", but it doesn't feel that it works smoothly as it should be.

I use this mainly for CAD work, and as such a portable workstation. The all aluminum body and carbon fiber palm resets are all constructed really sturdy. The built in 4K touchscreen is nice to have and the Nvidia GPU has no problem keeping up. If you are interested in gaming, I would suggest dropping the resolution down to 1080p medium settings. Keyboard and trackpad are very responsive, almost the best trackpad I have used ever! The built in fingerprint reader with works natively with the windows login. The only drawback are the webcam quality and position, and the lack of Windows Hello Facial Recognition for login.

Notebook is designed extremely well, has top-notch materials and is quick,quick,quick!

For the money, I’d expect a lot more. For instance I would expect the keys not to pop off while using it for the first time, or I’d expect the keys to register when you press them. Typing and typing, while nothing shows up. A lot of good this is going to do me for work. I would not recommend this laptop. I’m going to file a complaint with Dell and Best Buy to try and resolve this problem. I’ll post a follow up regarding this

No issues so far....beautiful 4K display....very fast still at this point.

Haven't had any issues. Bought as open box and was worried but it's a beautiful laptop so far. Love the 4k screen. Got a great deal from the outlet store. I just had to do as the computer asked regarding making sure everything was up to date. But I did get the year warranty just in case.

I'm loving this laptop. I had a Mac book pro 2017 but now I prefer Dell XPS

Great build quality and quite fast, even good for gaming! This is the second one this year as the first died from coffee induced cardiac arrest.

I would like to actual review a good working laptop but I haven't got one yet. The 1st open box was shipped to me and found out the wifi didn't work, the wifi adapter didn't even show up in the device manager, there is no way this laptop was checked when returned to verify that it worked. Found another open box in Blakeny NC. It actually booted up and connected to wifi, but the space bar only worked if you pressed firmly in the center. Taps on the right or left side of the bar would not respond. I would think that whoever returned these would state the issue when returned and they would be returned to manufacturer, especially since the second one had a little cosmetic issue and had the price reduced. I would think that Best Buy would track the returned open box and see that they are not properly checking these and following through on vetting out the defective products. This is not the 1st review I have seen with similar complaints, I should have checked them before wasting all of this time testing defective laptops.
